This is the best free software I have found!!! Haven't found any...yet. I ran into an issue with not being able to transfer my music from my ipod onto my new computer. Unfortunately itunes only lets you transfer the purchased music and like most people that was only a few songs. I wasn't about to make multiple backup disks. I spent a lot of time trying the "free" software but was limited to how many I could transfer. Luckily I stumbled upon this program and I'm so glad I did. This is fast and very easy to use and is truly free. I just wish I would have found it sooner.

"An excellent program." Did everything it claims. Bad interface, looks haphazard. YamiPod or iPod Folder are the best programs for this kind of stuff.

"Syncs your music from your iPod to your computer." It is really easy to use, and it helped when I reinstalled windows, I just had to plug my ipod in after installing YamiPod and it worked perfectly. You don't even have to "get info" on itunes when you put the files on there, because YamiPod does it. The actual website doesn't look legal from an overview. I really like this software, and it would help you just get the music you want off your ipod onto your computer.

Nothing good Doesn't work, very poorly constructed. Aside from the bad link, if you go to the website and attempt to get this thing to read an 80GB iPod clasic, you then have to muck around with an FWID no which you can get from the back of the iPod, or in my case since it's old and scratched, get it via your device manager. You can find instructions on the net telling you how to enter the compulsory FWID no, but that's where you get stuck. NOTHING HAPPENS !!. There are enough forums on this subject to tell you that I'm not the only one to have wasted their time with this. Save yourself 15 minutes of aggravation. Don't bother.

"Does exactly what it says it does - for FREE" Works seamlessly. Would be nice to get an updated version for iPod Touch.

YamiPod works great on my older Nano but, sadly, it lacks ability to sync on the newest iPods such as the Touch. I find it easy to use and small in disk space required. There needs to be a better FAQ/help page but the info is there if you look for it. That said, there is a Linux version I also use on an old computer running Debian so it gives me the same interface with either OS. Yami works as advertised (on the models it says it supports). Here's hoping that a newer version will soon sync with the latest iPods.
