User-friendly, plenty of features. Often very slow. Works ok most of the time and has many good features, quite user-friendly. But often slow responding and sometimes i cannot connect because the service is too busy. Updated on Jun 17, 2010

Vid chat vastly improved YM server load gets dicey at times Seems to be the better of the choices when video is preferred. For everyday all-day use I prefer Skype.

still thinking video conference refused to connect to third party.Audio conference connected but was broken and unclear My sister from Mumbai .Brother from Canada,me from India could not video conference & the audio conference was horrid.I later video conferenced to my brother clearly on Skype

Easy to setup and use Really none so far Installed and setup easy - WinXp btw. Integrated with my ATT Uverse stuff and webcam nicely. No complaints. Recommended.

This is a good way to keep intouch with friends and family all over the world, no matter what network they are on it still works. I have two other messengers on my computer and each does the job equally as well as yarhoo. This product does its job, just as well as many other messenger of this nature.

I can not think of one good reason to download yahoo ever again. I hate that I have to add all the extras - tool bar and search. All I wanted was the IM. Will not even try to load this software ever again. I am most upset with Yahoo! Don't wast your time on this

basically the same except: see cons. incoming and outgoing cams are blurry, reverting to a past version solved the problem. stick with the older version as long as possible

Nothing special. Installing Yahoo messenger changed my home page Yahoo even over-riding my settings to keep Google as my home page, deleting Google from the Internet Options window. Couldn't opt out of installing Yahoo tool bar and Yahoo Updater. If it wasn't required for a few live tech support chats I use I wouldn't have bothered with it. I suppose if you used Yahoo for email and everything anyway, it would mesh nicely. I don't and if I neded chat I would use MSN's product because I'm familiar with it.

Easy to get in touch with friends. Decent video call quality. Locks up alot. Good overall. Needs to be a little more stable.

So far, only having used it once so far, it seems fine, I had no problem with it, yet. I have not yet run into any problems but them I only used it once for about five minutes, only time will tell for sure.
