Ubuntu is a good linux program Although one of the best linux programs out there more people need to be aware of it so that more programmers will add more software in this format

Easy to install., stable. Painless way to experiment with Linux. Had problems with the Linux updates. last time I installed the update package I had a crash. Simply went back to Win 7 control panel & un installed Wubi. Downloaded it again and back in business.Small aggravation having to re set my preferences. To me it brings back some of the fun of computers. Makes it like a hobby again trying to push my knowledge of computing. I have had much worse crashes on Windows. I like knowing that I don't have to use Windows. I will never purchase Windows ( unless it comes preloaded on my pc).

it flawlessly installs all Ubuntu based Linux OS on your windows machine with a duel boot partitioned hard drive NON of them have flash and it is nearly impossible to find out how to properly install flash after a days worth of research mass amounts of online forums and even yes adobe website help files I could never get flash to properly install unbuntu could never connect too my Router, and mythbuntu TV never did install properly, xubuntu was nice but not what I was looking for and Kubuntu was exactly what I was looking for but I could never get flash installed so I gave up once againsorry linux I wont use until flash comes pre-installed as a package every thing uses it and if i have to install it myself it should not be rocket science

Simple to use EffectiveQuickDrag & Drop interface None that I can think of. Although I can't be certain that it wiped my open memory, I am certain that there was significant time accomplishing the task. I needed something that would be effective and that would clean an old computer that I am donating to a friend. Great software!

FASTIntuitiveOpen SourceEye CatchingEasy to Install Few mainstream programs are supported. The initial set-up when the OS is first installed can seem daunting for a begging user. I've used Ubuntu for years. It's a great operating system and I really wish I could use it as my primary OS. Unfortunately I am a video editor and it is mandatory that I have Premiere, After Effect and Photoshop. With that said, I own a Mac with Snow Leopard and a PC with Windows 7 and I can honestly say that Ubuntu at its base is better then both pf the top dog operating systems. For the (experienced) computer user that doesn't have a need for intense application software and only uses the machine for word processing and the internet, the OS is nearly perfect.

I have tried the OS, in the past i have had installation problems, tho i eventually got into the os itself and had a fun time the installer does as said, it allowed me to get Ubuntu without the other trouble but the os just simply has problems installing on my comp, it always gets stuck on a section of installation the installer does as said, it allowed me to get Ubuntu without the other trouble but the os just simply has problems installing on my comp, it always gets stuck on a section of installation, anyone that gets past this will have great time with the os guess its just my comp. Will only down rate for my troubles with installation, which is worth one start minus, in all 4 star for that brief time that i had playing with os.

Ubuntu is faster than windows, safer than windows, and most importantly, FREE, why spend $199 on Windows ? You have to download and install? Why? Ok, simply put, why download and install this, when there is a version that you can try using a CD or USB drive or you can install it from the CD/USB driveSeriously, if you really want to try UbuntU, then go to their website, and create the cd, and use it that way, saves space on your HD, and it is a full version.

None as it is not user friendly. And you install new software the same way you can with Windows. Ubuntu has a difficult software and web browser installation system. Download takes hours a very long time and also you have to have a log in password with Ubuntu. Where as with Windows you do not as it is optional but not with Ubuntu. Windows users including myself do not realise they have got it good having Windows on their computer instead of Lynax Ubuntu. First of all even if you have Windows XP or windows 95 or an older version of Windows, Windows is VERY user friendly and if you have got Windows 7 like I have it is EVEN MORE user friendly and easy to use. Also all Windows users have a lot of choice of what software to choose from with perhaps at least 500 web browsers and software all made for Windows and most are also compatible with Windows 7. And YOU control how you use and run your computer. YOU choose if you want to receive and install updates or not and which ones to install. YOU choose if you want to have log on password when you start your computer and install new programs. But with Ubuntu this is NOT the case.Wabi installs ubuntu alongside Windows so you do not have to get rid of Windows to use Ubuntu. That is when you start your computer you can choose to boot up in Windows or Ubuntu. But ubuntu unlike Windows is not user friendly. First of all you MUST have a log on password unlike with Windows, where this is optional. I do not have a log on password at all on my laptops, all Windows 7. I just turn my computer on, it starts and that's it. But you cannot do this with Ubuntu, and that was the first thing that put me off of it.Also you cannot install additional software the same way you can as in Windows. In Windows you just go to the website, download your chosen browser or other software and that is it.But not with Ubuntu. With Ubuntu installation of a new web browser is complicated as you have to type in commands or pick from the list but this does NOT insta

Set up was very easy took about one hour to download the Ubuntu Software then make a ISO DVD/CD and Start the Software install Thats It! Wish that it told you to update your Network Settings And get new drivers for Wi Fi Cards. I thought this was a very easy way for the noivice to install a dual Boot System on my Windows 7 machine.

When Windows 7 first came out it wouldn't work with Wubi. That has now been corrected and now Windows 7 user can now get the Ubuntu experience through Wubi. None that I can see.

Everything. It gives you the whole feeling of Ubuntu Linux by just being an installer. The best part is you can install and uninstall anytime you want. You can try different versions of Ubuntu like Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Mythbuntu with this as well. None. None! None!! The ones who have given bad comments are computer illiterate and do not how to use. It's as easy as installing a Windows application. It's the best thing that can happen to a PC.

Don't know yet. Don't know yet. Wasting some more time downloading again.Windows is starting to look better........... Not impressed. Never had a downloaded program from CNET"fail" or have an error that would prevent it to run. What a waste of time.
