Internet Download Accelerator lets you to noticeably increase the speed of file download from the Internet using HTTP, HTTPS and FTP protocols. The acceleration is achieved by splitting a file being downloaded into several parts and downloading these parts at the same time. Internet Download Accelerator resumes broken downloads from where they left off from both HTTP, HTTPS and FTP servers.

I only used for a short time. BE AWARE after you uninstall in Firefox you still have to uninstall the three plug-in's (Add-ons) it leaves behind and delete the IDA folder in program files which calls other websites. If you use the product and never have to uninstall you may be okay. I was dismayed to find that every time I tired to work with a downloading any file even off of internal company websites it would intercept and push the data to their web server. After I did an uninstall I still had to go looking for remnants because it kept forcing my download's to it's web sites. During install it doesn't tell you that it is installing all the extra stuff it just does it. Then on uninstall it doesn't take the extra stuff out.

Very good download manager with lots of features The author seems to have lost interest in this product. Very good product but I had to stop using it as youtube changed its whatsasomething and now it has stopped downloading you tube videos and the author has not updated the software to match new youtube. I preferred this over youtube downloader as it can resume interrupted downloads but now I have to go back. The forum is barren and no one approves members anymore and I cant even let them know that they need to update this.

It does download fairly well. I expected a faster down loader and was dissapointed with the results , was no faster than the others I've tried.

Very easy, simple, and reliable still evaluating, no problems so far. Just started using, Completely satisfied so far.
