"Great for beginners! Extremely easy to use." Drag and drop. Editing similar to Office products. Easy to use Site Map Assistant. Easy to use Previewer and Publisher (ftp). Flash and thumbnails No spell check. Few usable templates. Limited object designer. No metatagging. If you're looking to create a multiple page personal site, or a site for a small business, this software is excellent for the price.

"Exceptional value for the price" see all reviews above The HTML import possibility is rather limited, though in itself this is a unique feature, so is it a con? I compared several WYSIWYG editors, but this one stands out!

quick easy install very short learning curve honestly, I can't really think of any Out of desperation to get a site up, I downloaded this program. I'm so happy with it. Very intuitive. Not super powerful, but what it lacks in bells and whistles it makes up for it in a simple, clean application. I haven't had any problems with it at all. Very short learning curve to get proficient with it. I highly recommend it! Suh-weet.

Easy WYSIWYG program for the non-coder! Many fantastic features! Ability to change navigation bars or words on only one page and have the other pages automatically update! I'm picky... Poor HTML page import. Not able to modify the HTML code within software. Difficult to create in-depth forms and actions. Overall, this is a fantastic program for beginners and middle-level web programmers! You will not be disappointed! So many more features are available with the full version. I use this program for my clients that just want a small information website. It's quick and easy to use!

It places text and picture on the screen. It great for the dumb of the dumbest. But it is not complex and is usable unlike a produce call Site Spinner where just moving picture seems to be a hardship. The templates are good but there are so few. Imported pages are just a mess, the text needs to be edited by a bad form of ms-write, can not add or edit code unless exported. Hardly any features. No spell check. The list goes on and on. There are over 200 better freeware products like Pablo software product which seem to be the same as this but with all the features. Maybe I just totally wrong and dumb down products are given a better result in today's market. These guys have reinvented the wheel with no tires and making million;s.

Great for people who cannot code Html. Lots of features for a WYSIWYG program. Has some minor limititaions that dont detract from the programs value. See Summary. Overall a very good program for the people who have no knowledge of html. Very full featured and flexible. Things I like: The ability to import (not allways perfect) websites, either from the web or your harddrive. Support for flash video or slideshows. The ability to automaticly resize inserted images (for smaller size and faster loading of site) as well as convert text to images. Support for Meta tags. Spell checker. Things I dont like: No ability to directly edit code. Doesnt seem to be able to upload files to any other directory other than root of server. I wish insertable shapes had smoother outlines. Included templates are few and fairly simple. For what this program does - it does it very well. Highly recommended.

It's easy to use without knowing HTML code. Makes great basic websites, great price. NO UPDATES SINCE JANUARY, Support doesn't not respond to e-mails. Typo's, bad in grammer in help files written by microsoft. ( they are often no help). Multiple trips to help files needed due to poorly writting help files It's a great program for a begginer web designer. To bad it doesn't grow as your web programming needs grow. I"ve owned it for several years and there have been very FEW updates. Support doesn't answer e-mails. When trying to design a moderately complex web page, the help files DO NOT answer your questions. It leaves you wondering why you are using this product to begin with. Did I mention they have not updated this since January???

Auto backup of whole site (or sections). Universal automatic link changes when page name changes. Include elements on all pages or just some. Re-order page elements. Built in flash slide show, add HTML or script elements, & 1 click iFrames a breeze. No image wrap and text doesn't expand well when users increase text size in browser (so use size 12 font). This means you must take care when splitting text around images. CSS is on each page (slight clutter issue) but basic sites do validate. As a Network Administrator (and not a web developer) I had used WebPage Maker Version 2 for years and was impressed. Each page needed it's own WebPage Maker file, so if you had a site with 300 pages, you had to have 300 separate files, and there were other problems. The New version is a dream - it creates the whole site within one single file. What's more, you can split a really large site up into folders on the web by creating more than one file, one for each section of the site, and just assign a different name for each upload area. WebPage Maker has a built in Spell Checker which is really nice. It does lack the ability to create H1, H2, H3 etc. tags, but you can manually insert a block of HTML. I'd like to see that change in one of the next updates to have it done with the click of a button, but right now it's not there. A few interesting things about the newer version 3.x are that you can re-order the page elements which is really cool if you do any SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This means that you can have five paragraphs (numbered 1 through 5) showing in one order for the site visitor - lets say paragraph 3, then 2, then 1, then 5 and finally 4 - but for the search engine spider you can show them in a different order. You can also put all of the text elements at the top of the order, and have all the flash, images and shopping cart code etc down at the bottom so the search engines get the pure meat of the text quickly. You can also choose to upload each page or all

"Simple, complete and easy to use" I use this program since 2005 with full satisfaction. My website is entirely built with it. And if you do not like it, it is my fault, not that of the program. Check: www.dehadeln.com Unless you are after a still more sophisticated web site, this program gives full satisfaction and can be modeled to each ones needs

I am loving this program more and more even after using it for almost 8 years now With each new version the "cons" are only a wish list of what features I'd like to see in the next update. This program has only gotten better! If you've ever wanted to create a site with in-line (lined up vertically & horizontally) images that can be clicked on to open up the pictures in new windows then this feature all by itself may make Web Page Maker worth it and I'll tell you why. What you do to make an image gallery is go to the menu "Insert", "Image Objects", "Photo Gallery" and then select the images you want. You then select any images you want to include & tell Web Page Maker how large or small you want the thumbnails to be and whether or not you want a caption underneath. Then you drag the edges of the box of images so they line up either all vertically or to spread out horizontally and vertically aligned on the page. Let's say you want to add product images to be paid for with PayPal, for instance. Ok, so you've added your images and made them all go down the page on the left hand side. Each image is clickable to open up larger in a new window. Now you add your PayPal button by going to the menu "Insert", "Add Ons", "Pay Pal Buttons" (which you don't have to code from scratch for each product because you've entered your account info once into the PayPal info area). Now to make that idea even more appealing to people who have problems with Pay Pal's lack of individual shipping by weight and zip code I'll tell you a secret. If you go to auctioninc.com/info/page/shopping_cart (about $4.95 a month, first month free, no obligation) they have a shipping calculator plug in that works with PayPal. What that means is no more frustration shipping locally or thousands of miles away. Of course you can set up any shopping cart system in Web Page Maker that you want - no matter how complicated it is, but why bother? Web Page Maker's PayPal Button creator makes it super easy to

Easy layout basic tools intuitive scrolling marque is a neat bonus can upload custom images for nav buttons-inactive and mouseover and even sound on mouseover "Word art" feature doesnt work on my download Would like some more features Cant upload active image for nav buttons This program works a lot like the yahoo sitebuilder program that yahoo provides if you host a site with them. The problem with yahoo is that their software flakes out and loses content and images that you included in your site, and then the operators can't say why other than their tool is outdated. Okay so, foget yahoo, this program is very comfortable to use, and especially if you already understand wysiwyg editors. The tools are mostly easy to find although I havent found anything about optimizing for search engines. Another reviewer listed that you can order your page paragraphs for optimizing although they will appear the same on your site, the search engine will see them a different order. That way you can give the bot the meat of the page first for optimal placement. The scrolling marquee feature is a neat addition to basic tools. However it would be nice to see some other ideas like this too-some things that set it apart from basic wysiwyg editors. Probably the best thing is simply to use a good wysiwyg program with other tools like GIMP and flash makers and gif makers. I cant get the word art feature to work, it keeps giving me an error message. but this tool would allow me to build a new website or rebuild (or import-but i dont see that feature either though it has been reviewed to exist) my old site (since yahoo sitebuilder is proprietary and warns that their sitebuilder sites wont export properly) and host it with somebody cheaper than yahoo. It would pay for itself rather quickly and especially if you figure in the bugs that I hope to avoid by not using yahoo.

"Go for it, better than others" easy for newbies and lots of features for those with a little more expertise. Its not dreamweaver, but much easier.(and cheaper) for what it is, none so far.

Very easy to use, never crashed on me. nothing I dont like! However I like to use programs that have a thriving forum on the website. This helps you find different ways to do things etc. There is no forum! The manual is fine though. Excellent program but I changed to WYSIWYG web builder because it has a thriving and very helpful forum. Also there are a great selection of free extensions - this makes this program very flexible and keeps it up to date with latest needs. With these exentions it is easy to create really cool effects, very easily

"So easy a caveman can do it !" This is one of the easiest drop & click html programs on the market and I tried a few in my time. Plus its not watered down. It has add-ons like flash, ecommerce and tons more extras. You can also publish your website with 2 clicks of the mouse. Not much of any, the only thing could be improved more is customizeable nav buttons. But its very minor Try it you'll like it. I'm glad I did. (and only for $50.00)
