"plays everything i have sent to it" nice simple app. none the springs to mind leave it as it is. no more additions except for more codecs.

"Overall, this is the best media player I have used." Not only better sound, but more versatile.this program could play media that others could not. Nothing against this program.

"I like it much more easily accessible" is much easier to use for beginners .... nothing,Ilike If you could add a search for translations for films viewed I would not have anything to say

"It plays everything you throw at it!" It plays just about every file that I have tried (which is a lot of different video files from many different sources). It also gives an option to fix video files if they have indexing issues. That is something that crashes many players... I have nothing to complain about this software. One of the greatest pieces of software I have ever downloaded. Cant beat the price either...

I was sent a .mov file I was told that vlc would play as my WMP would not. Down loaded it and it would not play it. An error message come up at which point I unistalled it. This is something I cannot recommend as it would not work for me. When I downloaded and opened it, I did expect to see an open window as you get when you open WMP, and was surprised when I did not. Instead I was confronted was a dull light brown page. This is not an intutive bit of software, I clicked open in file and still no play window. Not sure how to get things to play in vlc, nothing obvious at all. Maybe it is not designed for the beginner, but for the more informed and those familiar with things more complicated than the average user is used to. I expected this to be simple and easy to use, I found the opposite and uninstalled it. Back to WMP as my default as it does all I ask it to do. If it does not play the odd file, I will no lose any sleep over it.

"Plays anything in god quality" It's easy to use and its works for nearly every media type out there. It's a little bit tricky to exactly chose a specific time in a movie file because the move doesn't jump to the exact spot where you hold your mouse.

"Great - and free." Works well. Easier to use than Windows Media Player, which is what I was looking for. Installs Ask toolbar. Go for it.

"Universal Amazing Player!!!!" It can play nearly every format including Divx and it is so efficient!!! The Style of the player not that good but who cares!!! Amazing player should be on every computer!!!!

"Plays the most formats" No need for Quicktime.You can install it without an installer. Takes over all of your media file associations.

"Good player iIrecomend it." Easy to install. Easy to use and it works. No cons so far. Best thing is it works. Downloaded with no problems. Installed and did not fight with anything else. It works!

"How to Change VLC Player Skin" You can make it look like any way you like, there are over 100 skins, including Windows Media Player lookalikes. "Does all that needs to do" It handles a large variety of formats There is little to dislike here VLC is the most stable and functional media viewer that I have encountered.

"great media player" works with most video formats and has all codecs and ability to play everything sometimes has to buffer but no big deal replace wmp with this trust me you wont regret it

"Great video player. A litle short on music management." All codecs included. No hassle. No crapware. Renders video beatifuly. Not an itunes replacement for audio.

"VLC is simply the best." Plays almost everything Free Comes with effects and useful media manipulation Light on resources A nice and clean UI Maybe one, playlist handling is a little clumsy. It can't be beat for your buck (I did mention free right) it's better than some pay programs. If anyone has found a better free player feel free to respond!
