Plays *ALOT* of movies :-) Loved this on my netbook! Website doesn't go deep into flavors of which Windows versions it supports (esp if it will support Win7) Awesome multipurpose lightweight player - that doesn't bluescreen or die after playing a disk!

Version 1.05 was buggy so I've been using 1.03 lately. In the future I hope they will release a 64-bit version. Here are the zip and 7z versions of vlc-1.1.0-rc: http://downloads.videola.../vlc-1.1.0-rc-win32.zip http://downloads.videola...2/vlc-1.1.0-rc-win32.7z

This version still has pixelization issues playing MKV files. When you pause or move the jog control up and down the horizontal progress line, you get corruption and chunky pixel groups. And it still does not feel like a rock-solid application. I think it needs to be refined and tightened up.

Pl ayes almost any media type. Small foot print. bland interface which I can live with. Been using this program since VER. 0.7. it'll play almost anything you through at it and due to they way it processes the file you are far more likely to escape any baddies that might be encoded into the video. It's a very small install and doesn't gobble up resources. Continued function over form isn't always a bad thing.

I have been using VLC for a week and it is working very well. I could not open video files that were given to me but a friend told me to try VLC, . I am finding so many extra's and all free. none so far Some of the programs I have spent good money for have not worked as well as this free program. I eventually threw those programs away or deleted them but this one loooks to be a keeper. Very easy to manage even an advance newbie like myself can handle it.

Clear picture and great snap shots. At times I have trouble with the status bar at the bottom winking in and out {on full screen}. Works pretty good over all.
