It includes a CD ripper, CD Burner, and audio converter for saving music, and manual or automated playlist editors for creating music mixes. Its player automatically adjusts volume levels so that you don't have continually fiddle with the volume control and supports hundreds of Winamp plug-ins and visualizations; or if you prefer, it can use Winamp as the default player. It also includes portable audio device synchronization that allows you to quickly synch tracks and playlists with iPods and other portable audio devices.

it does not look nice and has a poor excuse for an equalizer. Stick with WMP. The equalizer is a little better.

Updates artwork and fixes missed tags. Doesn't have a movie genre listing.

Does EVERYTHING! Appearance. That's it! I prefer the look of iTunes for actually playing my music. I use Mediamonkey to organise and arrange my music collection. This is a task that it does brilliantly.

Found all my music files I thought I had lost thanks to the commodo registry cleaner! Plays songs perfectly, easy to use interface. Be careful which format you burn your cd's/dvd's in. Good product to replace a malfuntioning media player (any version). Thanks again!

Wow, where do I start. Skins are awesome, features are awesome, it is the real deal. Everything you need and more. This is the media player you need. I don't know any yet. Will see and if I do I will update. If you are into music and have an ipod or other player this is the must have Media Player. It truly is awesome.

Android support, new iTunes (9.x) and iOS4 support for iPhones & IPod Touch, and Windows 7 support for the desktop interface. It has been awhile since Windows 7 and the Android operating systems were released; MediaMonkey could have had a major incremental release on those two points alone. Albeit, a fashionably late version update, MediaMonkey still rings in as king of the jungle island. The new iTunes isn't too shabby but, MediaMonkey has allot more by way of offline user oriented functionality with a smidgen of commercial portal access where iTunes is the exact opposite. You can literally have both and enjoy them as what they are -- unique and serviceable.I have a Gold Lifetime License to MM and do not regret it and have used the free version prior and enjoyed it as well. Either way you go, you will certainly be spending your time more wisely with MM as a client centric media manager.I see comparisons of the two and the cliche about apples & oranges jumps to mind very quickly. If you have an "iDevice" it isn't really necessary to have MM but, the two working in tandem provides the user with media management opportunities that are too numerous to post.Check it out -- the free version is indefinitely free and will allow you to try the licensed functionalities for 30 days no risk and you don't have to re-install the free version after the license trial expires.I always test software paying attention to trial functionalities, re-installation frequency, and how well the software manages itself constituent to updates, upgrades, and maintenance -- so should you and that applies to all software.Be safe, be productive, and above all else -- have fun. Enjoy

Through all the versions of MM I have used my favorite feature is the minimize to Microplayer. The Microplayer stays out of the way but still offers control over the music being played. A little slow to scan over music library (I have less than 900 on this PC) but a small (very small) inconvienence... really there is not much to complain about. Hard to complain about a free product... that works. Awesome product with iPod support to boot! I've tried RealPlayer, iTunes, Winamp and I always come back to MediaMonkey.

I know it performs well for those to whom its GUI is intuitive. It's just not intuitive to me. Help files are really no help at all. Help! I've fallen down a steep learning curve and I can't get up! If someone finds a really good YouTube tutorial, or even a good blog post that goes through all its features, please add links to your comments, App developers who'd like to see their products get more stars here should think inside the box. Boxes used to come with instructions inside! products more highly rated by consumers

This has very little in the way of tone controllability which I can use to customize my listening pleasure. More than I can mention. Not for someone who likes music. Updated on Jul 10, 2010

This program does everything that I could need to manage my 1000+ song collection. Great for editing tags. The distinct advantage with this program is that you can fill in the information that you know and get the rest from the internet. The interface and controls took me a while to get used to. I needed to the help file. After the first initial use, I have loved it ever since. Love this program so much that I needlessly paid for the upgrade so that hopefully this software will continue to be developed.

It spanks everything. That I didn't find this bit*h'n piece of software sooner! Dudes & Dudettes...If you have a serious collection of music files. You need MediaMonkey. For real, the auto-tag will organize everything for you! True, you will need to spend some time to learn all the features but so what, you have a brain, figure it out. It's worth it!Totally gnarly bro.

It handles the job ... no matter how many files you have. Some will point out the learning curve is steep. I will simply say.. yes it is but if you have so many files in so many places, you need to learn your lesson.. If you hoard files, make this a file you download. It is really that simple.
