PDF-XChange Viewer lets you view PDF files on your computer or online just like other PDF readers can, but with "Typewriter Mode", you can type directly on any PDF page! Now you can fill out forms and add text to PDF documents that you would normally have to print out before you could write on them.

This does everything you could expect from a free pdf reader and more, I can type on PDF's, fill out forms and save them, export my pdf's to images - but best of all when I contacted Tracker software for help - they responded within an hour --:) The one problem I had - was fixed in a new release the following week - so I cannot complain in anyway ! This programj is just all it says it is and it keeps getting better all the time - probably the most intuitive peice of software from the most helpful software company - I have ever used

1. None of the bloat of Ad_be PDF reader, and a better feature set than F_x_t Reader2. This program has a nicely written 200+ page user's guide. So far, with only limited use, I see nothing to complain about. At one time or another I've used all of the "highly touted" PDF readers and PDF XChange Viewer came out on top in my evaluations. The quality of this program even has me thinking of upgrading to the company's top-of-the-line product.

I love this program. It just works Limited functionality but more than most would ever use or need. Guess I'll have to get the Pro version Get rid of Adobe Reader and get this!

Allows marking up PDFs with a variety of tools. None during first week of use, for basic needs. I got this for pretty basic needs: wanted to be able to mark up PDFs. This allows commenting, highlighting, filling out ( and saving) forms, etc. Some functionality is limited in the free version but it's sufficient so that if you're reading lots of PDFs, you'd never really need to print them out in order to mark them up.At this time, free print-to-PDF driver is available after installing the viewer. That's a handy bonus.

Fast Many USEFUL features None so far. I was fed up with Adobe Reader, and today I thought that there must be other PDF readers out there that is not as crappy as Adobe's. Seriously, Adobe Reader would crash on me at least once a day, and for some reason, zooming wasn't instant anymore (you have to see the document getting larger or smaller for about 1 second), which was annoying. So first I found the Foxit Reader, downloaded and installed it. it was so much faster than Adobe, but one thing I noticed right away was that I couldn't zoom to a specific percent (only up and down by some unknown percent). I could be wrong, but I started to look for PDF Reader, and came across this one. I've only opened a few files so far, but it looks great. There are tons of features which actually look useful, and I especially loved the tabbed browsing. This could be because I am an avid tab user in IE and Firefox, but this actually makes sense; the taskbar is less crowded when you have to do some serious document reading, and is much faster to navigate between files. Also the print preview looks much better than Adobe, large and neat. Overall, I think this is the BEST PDF reader out there that I currently know of, and I believe everyone should ditch Adobe as soon as possible and switch over to this one or at least fo Foxit Reader.

Opens in firefox, IE and on the desktop. Works with Windows 7. Small footprint with a lot of built features that you have to pay for with adobe or foxit. Default installation has 12 toolbars loaded which wastes screen real estate. After install you have to turn on the menu bar and then turn off everything except for standard and zoom. Un-check the option to make ask.com your homepage during install. Better than Foxit and Adobe reader, works with windows 7 and all browsers

I am thrilled with the ability of adding text to an existing PDF file. Progam loads very fast and doesn't bog your computer down. None that I have found I would recommend this to everyone!

*Small (compared to you know what) system footprint!*Ability to Comment/ highlight/ draw ... FREE (and with no watermark unlike Foxit)*Display/toolbars customizable *Some editing features (special ones) will leave a watermark*maybe too many options for some people!?!? but you don't have to use them! Btw, you can actually Remove annotations and Watermarks left by other pdf software. And Yea you can disable the small banner add. and customize pretty much anything else.

Excellent interface and features. I've been using Adobe Acrobat Reader for 10 years. Where were you PDF-XChange Viewer!!!! 5% of Malware are now written to attack a PC through Adobe Acrobat exploits. Enough said right there, but add to that PDF-XChange's better looking interface, greater number of tools and options for both viewing and marking files, and superior hotkey support. Even compared to the excellent Foxit Reader, (Acrobat Reader's most popular alternative) it is far superior. 5.5 out of 5 stars.

Very customisable, has all the features I want and a load of other I hadn't thought of. It should be possible to place the page navigation toolbar at the top of the screen, but AFAICT it isn't.

Great feature set Zoom should leave less free space I would give this software 4.5 stars if I could. The only drawback I've found is that it leaves more space at the edges when I click "Fit to Width" or similar settings than I'd like to see.

This is very helpful to use to fill in forms and to find measurements. It has also been great for marking up pdfs. You can highlight or underline in ebooks. It's especially nice that it resaves as a pdf with the new markings. I have had a glitch or two but nothing serious. I have tried copying a label I created on one document and put it in others so I don't have to recreate it for each flyer. Sometimes it will copy and paste and sometimes it won't. There are a lot of good features that adobe should have offered.

All I cared about was annotating pdfs. Have to wait and see.

Lets you use tools to edit or complete existing forms or documents.Doesn't require frequent security updates like Adobe. None so far I was looking for something to fill in data on forms in PDF format that I receive or use in my volunteer work. This product was recommended on another site and has been what I expected and needed. Fairly intuitive interface and toolbars make it quite easy to use.

It converts PDF documents into PDF XChange Viewer Documents which can then be searched. Even better, the cumbersome and slow search facility in Windows Explorer will now search in MS Office documents AND in the PDF XChange Viewer Documents! Awesome! Dare I say? If this wonderful program could search MS Office documents as well, then it would be perfect! tvdboogaard@hotmail.com

Lightning fast & reliable with many viewing options. A multitude of editing tools and Stamps enable you to modify anything and everything (and in colour as well). After using this, you will never search for another PDF viewer/editor.. A cluttered feel to the GUI (but this is down to the sheer number of available options) Need to do a custom install to make sure you opt out of taking the ASK tool bar. This software has it all. I am continuously modifying PDF's and there is nothing that I cannot do with the free version, which includes many of the PRO version options albeit with a PRO stamp automatically applied to the modified PDF. Imaginative users will quickly find ways around this - I did. My favorite editing tool has to be the yellow sticky postit, with the Call-out tool a close second. If you just want to seamlessly merge PDF's with no PRO stamps, then download PDF Redirect from Exp systems. This is a fantastic PDF creator with merge facilities..

Infinite customisation for both viewing and editing features. Bookmarks, Tabs, URL Links, Attachments, Import/Export Comments, Multiple Print Functions, Password Security, Insert/Extract/Delete Pages, Stamps, Sticky Notes, Highlights. IT HAS IT ALL. 200 page Help function requires downsizing to eliminate the extensive repetition & make it easier to find what you are looking for. Cannot think of any additional feature that I would like to see apart from encryption. Switched from Adobe to Foxit being frustrated with the demand on PC resouces and the "clumsy" approach used by Adobe. Foxit was better (lighter), but is now also becoming bloated and putting too much time into security rather than editing features. Have been using XChange viewer (poor name doesn't state what it does) for 18 months now and cannot believe what I am getting for FREE. IReading the "Preferences" and "Toolbar Customisation" help features will quickly let you exchange the cluttered feel fo the default GUI for a cleaner, lighter one. After that, most of the mark up and commenting tools are intuitive, but you may need to revisit the help function to establish how to customise some of them (TIP:- Right click on chosen tool, then left click Properties, then experiment). The extensive tools menu includes Yellow Sticky Notes, Text box, Call-out, Text Highlighting, Text Cross-out, Text Underline, and much more. You have 14 Stamps (Approved, Draft etc) to select from plus you can create your own from any image, PDF or the clipboard. The zoom function will satisfy the most myopic of persons (including me). Multiple print options let you produce brochures or books, with an auto-rotate feature to let you fit a Landscape onto a Portrait paper size, but be careful to check your selected print option if your mark-ups don't show. I love the Tabs facilities which let you go to another page in your PDF, or elsewhere on the same page. You can also create tabs to open a web link, or another file. Most of the PR
