PDF-XChange Viewer lets you view PDF files on your computer or online just like other PDF readers can, but with "Typewriter Mode", you can type directly on any PDF page! Now you can fill out forms and add text to PDF documents that you would normally have to print out before you could write on them.

Low resource consumption, integrates with browser, markups with highlighting and text boxes, easy text search, text entry, typewriter feature, drawing tools/ So many functions, clutter the tool bar, so you need to glean them. Check box on install for the ask toolbar -- is pre checked. This has worked on every PDF I used. Its fast and it does not suck up any resources when not in actual use. I also like the optional browser integration. lets you view PDFs right in a browser tab. Did they mention its FREE?

Great, easy to use product. Has only crashed once when I was running a weekly virus scan. The annotations I make in pdf x-change don't show up when I open them in my ipad Great product--am still looking for the perfect product I can use on my PC and open on my ipad, but for now, this product is great!

Nicely laid out Have not found any problems with it. A good program. Better than Adobe.

Does everything I expect of it. None of the graphics issues I sometimes had with Foxit. No problems at all yet Best (free) one so far - have not paid yet though.

Fast, reliable, many documents opened in the same applicationNormal and portable versionsPlugin opens PDF in Firefox Merging, extracting and moving pages in PDF only with Pro version! Works very well with 7 64 (maybe cozdemine should try again). This viewer is now installed on all my PCs. Much faster and more reliable than the original reader from Adobe (new X version is soooo bad: unstable and slow).

It's font rendering is not up to par with the official Acrobat Reader, but on the bright side it's light and not a target for hacking. And maybe best of all, not made by Adobe.

Heard Good things, couldn't install Does not work with Win 7 64 bit Not sure how soft64 was able to install with 64 bit Windows 7. With my install, the installer stops immediately saying it's only for 32 bit Windows.

Good as any PDF viewer & it's not made by Adobe which is a good reason to use it. As below if you want a 'Pro' version go for this.

Guess I will mirror the other comments, and say that this is a great Adobe reader replacement. Not a lot of bulk and bloat, loads up very quickly, and is quite configurable.

Great Adobe Acrobat replacement. Well worth it to get the pro version. Browser add-ons work flawlessly for me, unlike Adobe's did.

Have not fully explored it but it seems to be a good program. As I have not explored the program too deeply I don't know yet. I think overall it is a good program.

Free version has some new features, such as support XFA form files, edit/add/delete Bookmark, customize GUI, toolbar. It is the best non-Adobe option around at the moment, and even the full-blown version is pretty cheap compared to the others. It makes my work easy and nice. Viewer works the same fast and excellent.

I had read all these reviews and would like to agree with the most of them. I downloaded PDF-XChange and tried. It's excellent Viewer! It's the better then Foxit, Nitro, Sumatra.. It has more free features then others. In latest version I can add/edit Bookmark and XFA-forms and I'm glad to use these necessaries features for free.

Can hide & restore all toolbars with F11. Can open a pdf by pasting in a URL. The only one I've used that handles a 338 page pdf smoothly without stalling or freezing. Can copy & paste text onto a doc. Love the snapshot of a page tool. Umm....Errr...,.Haven't found a side bar with miniature pages on it yet, but that's something I can live without. More pros: many preference options, toolbars are customisable, extensive Help files. Some reviewers have complained that some of the features are only available in the paid version, nevertheless they are still available to try, in evaluation mode, for which I am grateful. It'll be hard to find a better free pdf reader than this.

Tried it on Windows XP. It is indeed countless times better than Adobe's c..p. Gives me error during installation that it can't be installed on Win7-64 and that it is only for the 32 bit version. Running it with changed properties for a previous version or with compatibility wizard. Same error message. Great if it would have installed. Works awesome on my XP machine.

none yet found It's installed in Win7 64bit, and Firefox 3.6.17 as a helper but will not open a .pdf download. Need to change to another PDF reader as default.
