excellent but... but why does it take so long to loadup....? on an intel e8400 4gbram (intel chipset) it takes about 6 secs to show UI ... on an xp machine fixed changing local site startup folder (simply selecting) from my computer to c: or other hard drive letter speeded its loadup to instant loadup ... bit annoying but now is kinda ok, this had to do with the floppy drive not present on my machine but with drivers loaded (a: was shown on my computer), i disebled it from control panel and now no problem at all

Loads in less than 1 second... What a liar. It's a decent client, but that doesn't make it better, it just makes it ... cheaper.

A very good, open source, FTP program. One of the better free FTP program alternatives. Not that I'm complaining, but there are lots of updates.

Would be nice to get an option to load a default ftp site on startup. I don't care whether you think I am lying or not. I just made a video on my machine showing it load: http://indeego.com/filezilla_load_time.avi This is cached, of course, and 90% of the time I use filezilla it will be cached.

Yeah, FileZilla loads that quickly (if not even more quickly) on my system. I'm not sure if newer versions are improved in that regard, or if I just never noticed it. Sorry about that. This utility may be reliable, but it has a long way to go to catch up with its full-featured shareware competitors.

Had difficulty getting started but with a bit of help from a friend have it under control. It is so easy and friendly to use I cannot close it down after it has done its job without saying "Thank you!" Nothing at all As someone who worked changing dollars and cents into binary code for an enormous machine full of flashing valves and chattering punch cards at an insurance company in Toronto, Canada in the early 1950's I just love to be able to do the wonderful computer projects with such ease and to know that there are good people who are working hard to provide me with this brilliant technology at no cost. I like to think I make a lot of older people down here in the Blue Mountains, Australia happy by giving them their own website, also at no cost. Thanks in part to the FileZilla team.

Start and stop as much as i wanted. middle of a large file... no problem ...it pick right back off where it left. 49K of files. What? its free. solid. and works great...no cons go for it.

"Unable to down load it 2 or 3 times" None, and tried several times couldn't download, neither could a technician that I was working with. We purchased another.

It is easy to figure out and does just what it should. I have no cons at this time. I haven't been using this for long, but needed an FTP program when I had to migrate my personal homepages from Geocities to another website. Without the slightest idea on how to do FTP, I was able to upload pages to two different webservers easily and quickly. This program was incredibly user friendly for the complete novice. While I am sure there are a number of features I haven't a clue about yet, what I found extremely useful is that FileZilla lets you load and save information for more than one web server signin. I currently have two different profiles saved for two different web servers where my site is hosted. Wonderful piece of freeware!

Does what it needs to do very well Free These are minor and more to do with what I'm used to than a real issue: Default icons not entirely obvious Comparison feature works too well, would prefer it to be simpler (like LeechFTP) I've been using LeechFTP for YEARS, but it has not been dealing with large uploads and downloads very well so I needed to switch, this one was very solid, works in a similar way to LeechFTP and if an upload or download does fail it resumes without a problem.

emanresU deriseD, Please inform us of the journey this poor inapt application has to make to soar with it's shareware counterparts. I have used most of the "sareware" clients and this one still reigns king. It is simple, easy to set up and use and does an excellent job not to mention that it is free. Paying for a program does not make it exceptional...only profitable. What was it CW Fields said " There is one born every minute". Awked Ark!
