After reading lots of reviews, everyone agrees this is one of the top two, and generally the best. It's intuitive, lots of great extra features, and a lot more features packed away if you want them. Superb! Umm... I'm sure there's a small niche that have very unique needs in an FTP program, but as long as you're not the anomoly, this is amazing. It's ope source too, which I always want to support that community. Awesome. Epic. Amazing. It just lifted me into cyberspace and I'm flying over Europe.

I used to be a big proponent of FileZilla until it was brought to my attention that it will store passwords in cleartext in a file (sitemanager.xml) that any user with access to the machine can harvest. That is bad and the author says it's by design. As a client, it does the job, but for that security hole that is many, many years old, it gets epic fail. If the author ever fixes the security hole, I would be happy to give it 5 stars. But for continuing to make the excuse of "by design", two stars off.
