Thoosje Vista Sidebar for Microsoft Windows XP and Vista has gadgets like media players, google search, yahoo search and lots of more search engines. It has also gadgets like weather and system uptime and lots of more useful gadgets. The sidebar uses 50% less RAM and is faster than the original Microsoft Sidebar with more extras. The Vista Sidebar saves gadgets settings at start-up so they won't reset to default settings but now everything is stored in the registry. The Sidebar has more skins, including longhorn skins and skins of the windows sidebar in early stages. there are more clocks, and other gadgets. The Sidebar also has docking so it's easier to organize all gadgets now.

Clean interface, intuitive, and integrates well. I recently downgraded from Vista to XP and wanted a drop-in replacement for the gadgets. This does it perfectly! A few of the areas are misspelled, but I can understand that given that the developer's primary language isn't English. Who cares, though? The entire point of the sidebar is to provide something to be LOOKED AT; reading anything is incidental. A must have if you are trying to Vistafy your XP installation.

"Sneaky! Spyware,Malware,Dailers,Viruses,Trojans..." Before i found out what Was happening it was OK. Spyware,Malware,Dailers,Viruses,Trojans, Using unnecessary CPU/RAM And so on DO NOT DOWNLOAD, IT HAS VIRUSES THAT NOT EVERY ANTI VIRUS CAN PICK UP!!

"awesome product" This is a need be if you are trying to make your xp computer a vista. nothing. loved the whole thing i love it. i also have vistamizer, vistart and a whole lot more on my xp computer. if you turned on my computer you would think it was a proper vista. more than a five star, about a 10 / 5 rating

"Looks good, but has less widgets." Floating docklets and slick interface make it attractive. There are few options for skin and widgets, and choice of widgets are very limited. An attractive add-on,but number of widgets and options are very limited.

This sidebar is great looking. I had no problems with XP sp3 compatability. Skinnable. Easy to setup. Extremely limited amount of gadgets. Does not support Vista gadgets. I would really like to see this updated with support for vista gadgets and not just the internalized gadgets prepacked with the program. That would make this sidebar an excellent program. Unfortunately with its limited functionality at this time, I can only recommend it for those wanting a nice looking sidebar clock, calender and system usage display.

Still no application launcher which makes it useless as far as I'm concenerd. Better functionality but still misses the boat. Get your head out guys - a dockable sidebar cries out for an app launcher. This is your third revision and it' still nowhere in evidence. You need to either start supporting Windows Gadgets (preferable but arguably difficult) or implement an app launcher of your own. Have a look at this one: http://gallery.live.com/...ebe11&bt=1&pl=1 It's the feature set that anyone would come to expect from a mature sidebar app launcher. ONE star.

"Great program" This program makes it look just like vista with out installing vista. or as i like to call it the YUGO of operating systems. There is no viruses or spyware according to Norton 360 and Spybot Search And Destroy. i cant think of any This is a must have program for anyone wanting the gadgets from vista but not the pain of installing vista It does take a little of your system to run it just because it is updating the time but so did the one in vista. It is well worth it.

"very good product" Okay for upgrading old OS. needed to get Firefox in order to apply it (wouldn't work with Opera 10.0).

Easy to use. There appear to be a fair number of skins available. I can't speak to any spyware it may have given me as a bonus, but Symantec Endpoint Protection didn't find any after I installed the sidebar. A somewhat klunky GUI; definitely not a slick, finished, paid app. But not hideous, either. I run XP Professional at work and Windows 7 at home. I love the Win 7 sidebar and wanted to replicate that experience in XP. This product is okay for the price (free) but somewhat limited in functionality. I uninstalled it after using it for a couple of hours because it wasn't what I wanted. Until my company goes to Windows 7 Professional, I suppose I'll have to live without a sidebar. :-(
