I had avast, spywareblaster and pctools firewall and somehow managed to get a rootkit and trojan without them telling me until I noticed funny behavior from computer. Malware antibytes got rid of trojan but none could get rid of rootkit this didThanks Not free 30 day trial. Seems to be a champ for difficult stuff others miss.

extremely good at detecting cookies and root kits. scan time is very fast( approximative 8 minutes) doesn't have allot of tools and settings if you have troubles with tracking cookies this is the solution

It works well and quickly. It's also one of the few programs that I have foudn that reliable removes rootkits. For those of you having issues with the 30 day trial, it asks after the scan. None that I could really find. This program is amazingly fast. It gets rid of rootkits which many other antivirus programs make you pay extra for. The free trial is a bit confusing as you must do the scan before it shows the option for the free 30 days. It's a lot like what Spysweeper used to be in the good old days!

No absolute "Pros" at this time. The only thing it found on my system was a false positive. I'm not complaining that it didn't find any actual malware, that just means my current anti-virus & anti-malware are doing their job, But... I wasn't super thrilled that it found my umediaserver.exe (which is a streaming media server that I purposely installed but didn't have running), and incorrectly categorized it as a trojan (without question) and was about to quarantine it.I believe I'm satisfied with my avast! anti-virus / malwarebytes anti-malware combo, both of which are highly rated and free vs having to pay $20/yr for Hitman Pro which in my case was a little too over-zealous. I will keep it in mind and look into upcoming reviews though.

I have had a lot of problems on Mozilla and it was not improving even after a re-installation but this think cleaned it all out, so we will see. Not sure if it found malware or game cheats but time will tell. It cleaned my cookies-no pun intended- and found a bunch of malware and rootkits that were game "helpers" for a gaming sites that I play on. I have had a lot of problems on Mozilla and it was not improving so we will see.

None whatsoever. led to "Uniblue Registry Booster" & "CSIScanner" infestation = malware, evidently. Brought the computer to its knees. Hard to stop or kill, let alone remove. Had to use Registry Editor and KillBox to thwart it. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Do a google search on the name of anything you might consider using... BEFORE you install/use it. Look for results from the "bleepingcomputer" site, which seems to have more facts and less "BUY THIS PRODUCT AND SAVE YOUR COMPUTER" B.S.

It kicked the rogue MS Removal Tool's ass when MalwareBytes and Super Anti Spyware were ineffective. Cloud based so it's not that big of a download. I'll be adding this "arrow" to my quiver. Only a 30 day trial Stay away from the registry cleaner that they try to sell you. It's much to aggressive.

Removed a Hijacker that all my usual removal tools failed on. not free, but affordable subscription. Impressed! Having been in the business of removing Virus and BHO's for many years, I have built up a Software toolkit that serves me well. After trying unsuccessfully 3 times to remove a BHO on a clients PC, I thought I'd try Hitman Pro. Worked immediately!

- Detects remnants of Google Redirect rootkit (which I removed but something still creates a proxy which this software detects and deletes at startup)- Fast scan Haven't found one yet Effectively detects issues that other software does not but none of them are perfect so great to have in the arsenal.

gets rid of tracking cookies I paid for it.Then got 3 malware .dll's that would not go away. They were printer and router based. As soon as I dumped HitmanPro the 3 bad .dll's were gone.E-how has a warning on this. tracking cookies it deletes are harmless anyway

None Noted Has to have internet connection. Had IE and Outlook operating, but it could not detect internet. It eventually timed out and nothing happened. Tried different things. I Bottom line, dead in the water without it being able to detect internet...even if it is available. It's process of detecting internet connection must not be effective.

Caught a couple of rootkits my antivirus let through. Caught, but didn't remove one type of rootkit (TDSS) and created an issue when 'fixing' the problem. While I would suggest a generic version that works 32 or 64 bit systems this app is quick and nimble enough to be considered a 'must have' in your technology toolbox.

Hitman failed to clean a Root-kit/Boot Virus on my sons PC. it found them but was unable to clean, in the end the FREE Norton Malware Remover cleaned it after a reboot. I won't be renewing my subscription to Hitman as it failed on the one time it was needed. A wasted £17 for my son. Also neither did Eset Smart Security remove it. Super Anti-Spyware v5 didn't even find it & Trojan Remover never found it either. I was very surprised Malwarebytes could not remove it. The free Kaspersky Malware removal tool also failed to either detect or remove it. All were run in safe mode as well as in Windows. Glad I use NIS now. An interesting learning curve. All were run legally.
