Easy to understand as the interface says exactly what each function does. No silly juvenile graphics and bloatware. Small footprint, toss Nero out the window and use this. None for me If you want a clean efficient open source application without a lot of extra junk this is the guy. The nomenclature is not confusing, if you want to burn a bootable iso image, it just says so and no confused multiple interfaces like Nero.

Simple to use, does what it is supposed to, and it's free. None as of yet. If you need a simple iso creator and/or disc burner this is the tool to keep in your toolbox. No bloat. No unnecessary features.

I like the product very much. Sometimes I have a problem playing the disc. Not a bad product to be free, but I would like to see it do a little more.

100% CPU when burning takes longer than ImgBurn to burn & verify 1/2 hour for 4.33GB Data DVD

Soldier1st, I am sorry if my review came across as being anti-shareware; I am totally in favour of shareware and AGREE with your views that the author of this good software should make a version of his program free of "crapware" AND charge for it. It is software that I would pay for so long as it was "clean". My on-going *** rating is not a reflection of the quality of this software, merely a complaint against the inclusion of "crapware". Regards, Peter

Just about does everything a CD/DVD burner program should do. Interface is ease to use (much better than IMGBurn). No problems with 32 Bit or 64 Bit systems. Handles ISO's, MP3's, and backups flawlessly with nice progress bars, etc. Will not pick up the DVD drive on my laptop (Win7 32 Bit). Tried running in administrator mode, maxed out file rights, etc. Author acknowledges the problem and offers alternatives to solve problem. So far no luck. If this program recognizes your DVD burner, it is one of the better burners with all the functionality you would desire. If this were shareware, I would definitely pay the $20-30 buckcs for CDXPBURNER. Not recognizing certain DVD drives is a major problem that needs to be addressed. The DVD problem is the only downside to this program. Fix the "finding the DVD problem" and this program gets 5 Stars.

Well, it certainly looks pretty. Dialog boxes. Icons to click on.Too bad it doesn't actually burn discs for me. Peculiar (Nero-esque) start window. No way to back up to start window once an option (Data disc, audio disc, etc.) is selected. Also: No support for my laptop's built-in optical drive.I haven't run into a hardware incompatibility since, like, 2004. Everybody else seems to like it.

None that I liked I uninstalled it. Just didn't like the way it handled burning on my XP Home. For a longtime after uninstall a virus took over my PC. Most software I tried to download cdburnerxp installer popped up instead and it took 4 or 5 attempts at canceling or clicking the x to stop it. I used ccleaner, and registry cleaners to help clear it out. I searched my PC for left over files and deleted them. Same in Regedit. Turned system restore off. Ran combofix among other programs. Did a Windows repair. Virus must be hidden under another name. Came right back. Ran anti-rootkit software. At the moment it appears to be gone.

An Excellent and simple to use DVD/CD burner. Simple and friendly interface. Cannot handle many burners on Laptops but usually handle the ones of desktops fine. I wouldn't be bothered so much with the opencandy issue as many others are. Its privacy intrusion is much less than what we got used to from many other programs (especially Google and Windows OS), and is only during the installation. No crapware is installed if you do not allow it.
