organizes desktop a little unpredictable first off...this is still a release candidate! Somehow that is never mentioned and I think it's important. It's been a release candidate for months now..which tells me that it still has some bugs, and indeed it does.

easy to install and get up and running limited with what it can do but i couldn't find any help in how to adapt it v/good for what it does, but not very exciting

Cleans up a messy desktop in quick order! Great at first run to pick up categories without any customization! So far, nothing! Makes my desktop MUCH more efficient and orderly! I recommend to anyone!

Helps keep my desktop icons grouped in an organized fashion. Easy to set up and use and look nice too! So far none. Does what it promised it would do. I liked it so much I blogged about it!

Fences helps to keep desktop icons neatly organised and easier to find. It is specially helpful for extremely messy desktops. Although very useful, Fences does not offer much more than a simple organisation of desktop icons. Some stylish animations involving icons may provide a nice touch to the application, as well as more ways to arrange icons.

hides icon's on desk top keeps it clean and looking nice When computer is turned on the little fences show up. You want a clean desk top certainly get fences.

Helps to keep desktop nice and tidy, makes frequently used programmes easier to find. Sometimes takes several attempts to bring to top.

fabulous for people like me who tend to dump all my files on the desktop, sorts out the clutter, very simple and intuitive to use. goodness knows why this functionality isn't built into Windows in the first place, but I suppose that's MS for you. very occasionally crashes and needs to be reinstalled

Yawn! Congrats! The only problem that I have with this software is you can't find out the process that runs it as it doesn't show up in Task Manager... It's been keeping my mind-bogglingly cluttered desktop tidy for nearly a year now. Of course the best option is keeping your desktop clean in the first place but this saves me the time and keeps my icons organized to boot.

Its neat, and its a great concept. It makes you desktop look so much better. Very customizable and good looking. It uses way to many resources for my taste If you are a person that is willing to sacrifice performance for looks then go ahead and get it. If you prefer speed over looks dont even think about it. If you want speed and looks then look else ware EX. rocketdock, visual styles, moding.

Extremely useful. My desktop was full of icons didn't had space left for even one more icon. So I decided to move all the icons to folder but then I found this wonderful piece of software. Now my desktop looks so much better & neat. Didn't find one till now. I think Microsoft should bundle it with their Windows 7 as this is really nice Desktop organizing software.Hats off to Stardock Team for this brilliant thinking.

A great program to help you get rid of the clutter on your desktop. It allows you to put your icons in separate boxes and keeps it that way no matter what. This program made my Windows 7 freeze up and crash. Do not use this if you use Windows 7, I am not sure if its the same on Vista, but I am sure that as soon as I removed this program from my Windows 7 PC, my PC stopped freezing and crashing. Great program if you are not on windows 7! Otherwise stay far away!

I thought this would be crap. After all it's just transparent folders on your desktop right? Well kind of. But not quite. I was *really* surprised how well this worked. I might even shell out for the Pro version, though the basic version is perfectly adequate. @guru_v, What stunning futuristic OS are you using then? You can't do this with a standard Linux install. So i'm guessing you're so awesome you've written your own shell or your own OS? If so, why don't you open source it and we can all have a laugh.

organizes well, like the looks of the desktop - easy to find programs. I regularly boot up my computer and all the fences are empty and all the icons are outside the fences. Great when it works. It regularly messes up. I will be uninstalling the program.I have Windows 7 - perhaps the problem that another member submitted. I uninstalled the old version and installed the newest version but still have the same problem. It's clashing with some other program on my computer

Installation was easy, and initial set up went smoothly. Fences can be arranged in any way you want and resized or renamed easily. Allows hiding all fences & showing them again with a simple double left click on the desktop. Appearance is not as customizable as some programs. Overall the best free program I have found
