It increased the speed of downloads trmendously. It should come with new computers as an option. I only wish I had found this years ago. It would have saved me alot of grief. I don't know about dial up, but I have DSL and that has made an improvement on that. So I feel no matter what you have for internet acces I sincerely believe this product will improve it

Its true! DAP plus increases my download speeds by 400%! ;-) Some ads in the download window, but its no bother... I really like it when it resumes broken downloads, it would be a pain in the ass to start your download all over again.

It is extremely intuitive, and user friendly. I have none at all. It was well worth the subscription cost.

A lot better than Orbit, no bad downloads like Orbit. Wish it was faster for a dial up. It works A whole lot better than Orbit! I love the resume when I get disconnected from my isp I can get right back where I was even at 95% and I do not have to start out at 0% I can go right to 95%, even if the power goes off, which it did do and I was able to get back to the 95% download.

I've used older versions in the past and it's better with more features but still easy to download. Can't think of any.

This does what it should. My default Firefox download manager hangs up occasionally, DAP hasn't done that yet. It's not a lot faster, but I did notice a slight increase in download speed. It integrates well into Firefox, and is easy to use. The free version NAGS you when you boot up. It also leaves available downloads (I assume from partnered software companies) in the interface window when you download, but it's acceptable, and minimal. It doesn't affect the way your PC, or DAP runs. Basically, it works pretty good. If you don't mind a small splash screen commercial when you boot your PC. I can live with that. I've tried a few others, and this one works best for me.

It does download, like the other hundred programs that you can find. The commercials for upgrade are too much. Each download takes an extra step because of the commercials. Limitations of download on the free program. Sorry, I don't like a program that inundates me with advertisement. Each download brings up a new advertisement and takes an extra step. I really just want to click and have the program download. I uninstalled this and am using DOWNTHEMALL now. Much easier and no problems or commercials.

GET THE THINGS DOWNLOADED FAST. NONE I HAVE FOUND I LIKE IT BECAUSE I SAVES A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AND IT HELPS IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE ITEM TO DO.

Living in SA the whole sytem is slow, so being able to download at areasonable speed is important. Plus it tracks and vets the security of each download. I have no "CONS". I have been useing this product for the last 10 years and wouldn't be witout it. It is totally hassle free and efficient.

What else can i say... It does what it says. Accelerates downloads up to 400%! Lots of add ons, but its no bother because it can be avoided during the installation process. Just uncheck the components you don't want to install. A must have freeware for everyone wants to see real improvements in download speed. ;-)

all my downloads are in 1 place. couldn't ask for better than not having to search for the. sometimes it's alittle slower than i would like but, i guess it depends on the size and content of the particular download. i use DAP for all my downloads, except my driver detective and some of cnet. i don't have to search user/users/ blah blah or public downloads or any place but MY DAP Downloads. what a time and frustration saver.
