0000000000 0000000000 when i use this one, already i have u torrent,restart computer time automatically DAP function and internet net explorer 9 function all stopped after that i can't download anything, internet explorer cannot display indication came on IE 9 opening time in the browser.DAP WORK DOWN LOADED TIME ONLY.

The promise Just Awful. The intrusive install didn't result in what was promised & uninstalling killed my network settings, Avast & refused to completely uninstall. Hours later after using a different computer I've been able to restore my computer. I've never written a bad review before but this was a really painful experience. Now it could be my chrome XP setup but I've never encountered such a headache with software. Worse than malware. Hopefully no one else has this problem.

It only works if you have a dual-core processor with tons of RAM and Vista or Win 7. Drains system resources real bad if you are running Win XP with a 2.33 ghz processor with 1 gb memory. I had to disable it; it was that bad. Also can't uninstall it; it won't show the usual uninstall box. Won't ever download it again.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. This is a lot better than the standard download manager for Internet Explorer 9. I'm never going to use that thing again for a 1.3 GB file. It's not reliable. The only con I know of is with the free version. The free version did seem to slow down my browser while I was surfing the web because of the ads. I did have to enable the add-on for this program to work with Internet Explorer 9. I love this software because it integrates so well with Internet Explorer, and it really does give you the ability to pause and resume a download. It's not a gimmick like Internet Explorer 9's download manager. I paid less than $13 for this. It's worth every penny to me.

Are you kidding?! This software co-opts my home page. I tried to uninstall the software, but couldn't. So I tried to manually remove every vestige of it from my registry, Program Folders, Common, and the hidden folders ProgramData and AppData. If you want to have your computer taken out of your control, by all means install this software. It ties with Google in intrusiveness and in difficulty to uninstall. I am so angry with it. I rue the day I decided to install it.

Very litte even on a high end PC. My main gripe is that the application is hard to uninstall and also 'hijacks' the 'Homepage". I used 'Your Unin-staller'. I ran Regedit to clean any remnants but it still raises it's ugly head worse then a virus. I am about to reininstall Win7 Ultimate 64 bit to clean up dregs of programs especially this one. No matter what I do I can not have the Homepage of Firefox with my usual .url. As soon as Homepage is clicked it reverts to 'speedbit.com' which is the spreader of this almost virus. I sent an email via their Contacts about hte problem, guess what, I am still waiting for an answer after weeks. This program is on my 'All time high' list of annoying, time wasting applications. Avoid at all costs.

The previous version was great, fast & efficient, no pros with update The update crashed my computer and unable to restore, unable to uninstall the program, unable to reinstall; continuous pop-up every couple minutes and unable to download files

The previous version of this program didn't include this new Speedbit virus. When you install the program, it warns you that it will change your internet explorer homepage. But it didn�t tells you it will keep overwriting it any time you change it. I already uninstall the program and still, the Speedbit virus keeps overwriting my preferences Please don�t install it because there is no way back. How can CNET let them do it? Did CNET really maka a review of the last version?

Certainly speeds up downloads Occasionally it just refuses to download...which makes one realise how much faster downloading is when it is working!

When it works it does download at approximately the same speed as the Windows 7 64 bit downloader. Very often it will only download only 9 to 10 KB's of a 200 MB or above file and show that it has downloaded the complete file. Sometimes it will not even try to download a file. This is a registered version that I am using. I used it years ago as my only download manager and the older versions worked great. This new version is not worth the trouble. It just capitalizes on the past versions record. It provides more headache than relief in the downloading area.

Locates text data quickly. It takes a long time to download. Files other that text is nearly impossible and may not complete downloads. The accelerator usually does not work. I receive the message that it is unable to accelerate my file. The typical Download Accelerator Plus will then attempt a regular download which takes longer that it would take if I did not have the Download Accelerator Plus 9.6 software. About 2/3 of my files stop loading at 25%. When I press the continue button, only about have of those files finish loading. I have not attempted to uninstall from my computer because of the complaints about the uninstall process. I can't afford for my computer to be not functioning at this time. I loved the earlier version that I was using about 7 months ago. It was significantly better, convenient and easy to use.

i bought the premium dap and it is no faster than the free one it was a waste of money get the free one but do not buy the premium the download with premium are no faster than the downloads on the free version the premium is a ripoff
