doPDF installs itself as a virtual printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list. To create PDF files, you just have to print your documents to the doPDF pdf converter. Open a document (with Microsoft Word, WordPad, NotePad or any other software), choose Print and select doPDF. It will ask you where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF file will be automatically opened in your default PDF viewer.

.A wonderful tool that allows me to print my genealogy files in PDF to send to my family members who do not have genealogy software. Unable to add default footnotes. This is a nice and easy to use program that allows me to print PDF files to email my family members. My geneaolgy software does not allow me to add a footnote on every page, and it would be great if I could add a default footnote to the PDF file such as "Researched and compiled by John Doe, Anywhere, USA, Date on every page of the document. But overall a nice program.

Downloaded it, used it, and it works like it says. none so far. Many time I need to save the files or, print stuff from online and when you save it as html or something they don't look the same and i don't want to print them all the time. This program works, Click on print and give it a file name and it'll save it as pdf file, so in future if you really need to print it you can just open the file and print the document. If you want to save online documents not print them all the time, this works. and having a digital copy is great, you can email if you need to, no worry about finding the paper and scanning it or anything. great for many online purchase invoice and stuff, just click print and save to to pdf.

"It performs as it should" Installed perfectly. Creates pdf files from a virtual printer. It would be really hard to muck this part up. Thankfully doPDF answers the call. Its totally free. No banner ads or spyware. No hidden fees or anything. Just free (as in beer) software.

"Makes saving documents in pdf format easy." Ease of use. Saves paper and ink. None that I can think of. I use doPDF when I want to save a document instead of printing it. This saves me paper and ink and makes these pdf docs available for viewing or printing anytime in the future. Great program!

"Converts every application I use to PDF. No problems." It is simple to use. No fancy frills to confuse me. I'm still using it and trying to find one. Wait! No, that would be a fancy frill and I don't want one.

"Best free PDF generator I've tried." Quick, generates compact PDF files. Installer hangs on Windows 7 64-bit if you don't uninstall a previous version of doPDF.

"useful to have but not used often" It helps when the user does not have the Adobi Software package to create PDF files and 3rd parties require PDF files to be completed and returned. I have know reason to dislike the product I don't regularly use the product but it is usefull to have loaded

It was free!! It didn't work on my PC. A couple of small niggles to begin with. Firstly the download programme didn't allow me to specify the folder to which the installation programme was to be loaded, so that I had to discover where it was. Secondly, the Installation not allow me to choose where I wanted the programme to be installed. However, the main problem was that it wouldn't work. It specified that MS Outlook Express (I think it was) had to be my default e-mail programme. It already was but the programme did not appear to know it. Result - No Go. My O.S.- Windows XP 64-bit.

Easy to Install. Simple to use. Does the job. No Ads! Free! Minor font variations. Simple to use - select it from your printer list. Quck download/install. Passed my Zone Alarm SS heuristic scan ok. Uninstall available. No icon cluttering up desktop. Did the job of PDF conversion quickly & did it well. Close inspection showed minor font variations when printed out as compared to say, the original word document.

Works very well with PolyEdit Lite No "Exit" option on tray icon I needed something to use with PolyEdit Lite to export PDFs and this works perfectly for that. The version I got is totally free; I downloaded it from their website. I tried three other popular ones before settling on this one. All the others were a bit of a hassle and didn't work well right out of the box like this one.
