Actually I have no need for other aliases. I am using 6.6.3.0 The newest version. Once again free to me as a registered owner. Freeware is great sometimes. I don't mind paying for a great piece of software that is simply the best. I don't have to flame Slysoft or other users.

BIL, i agree with your comment. And i really do not use any aliases. There are few other persons that are attacking against me and they are using aliases. My reasons for one star are coming because of certain peoples out there, and the "free alternative" that i use is really working great as well.

I have purchased a copy of AnyDVD HD "lifetime" becuase I have two small children and they can scrap a DVD in under 5 seconds. For example my son thinks everything is a car including DVD and proceeds to push it (data side down) along the floor! After one incident where 2 Disney DVDs were scrapped I tried AnyDVD and never looked back! We now have a rule in the house, can't play a DVD until daddy makes a copy of the disk. I used to use DvdShrink but it failed with the new copy protection, AnyDVD has not failed me yet. I keep the originals safe and the kids can play with the copies. I scan the DVD disk and print it on the copy (my son is too young to read but can work the DVD player). When the DVD dies, I just make a new copy. The price is now high (I bought when all purchases were lifetime) but they keep updating the software to keep up with all the different protections. There may be free products out there, but I know this one works and it will do it on the fly so I can play copy protected Blue Ray DVDs on my old PC.

It's hilarious that cp posts what he does, yet lashes out with sarcasm and general nastiness whenever someone criticizes his pet freeware. Anyway, it's well established that no other software--freeware, shareware, or vaporware (ahem) can actually compete with AnyDVD.

It seems like only about 10 days since I was posting about the newest free update and here we go..another free update. AnyDVD is always updating to stay current with new releases and new schemes. This was one of the best software investments I have ever made. I put it right up there with my free copies of Windows an Office from Microsoft. Updates often and easy from both. Both work well because I keep them away from my kids and etc. I can't think of a more simple and effective way to back up dvds.

Other than the issues it takes with packet writing software such as Nero and the like(which it recommends to disable while AnyDVD is running), this handy little application does the job it was made to do: allows people to watch Blu Ray DVDs on their PC or HD TV without needing extra $$$ for an expensive monitor. It does allow you to back up your purchased DVDs without much trouble as long you have something to burn the ripped files with (such as Nero or Shrink), and it is constantly updated. Worth the price.

Thank God for AnyDVD. My Children have destroyed more backups than I can count while the originals are put away for safe keeping. 300+ sucessful backups speaks for itself.

To quite FixXxeR "AnyDVD HD, while expensive, is the only tool in it's class which handles every media format with as little user interaction as possible. DVDFab Passkey still does not support over half of the BRDs out there. AnyDVD HD is updated very frequently when new problems are identified, often not more than a week before a fix to a DVD/BRD/CD problem is fixed. " Could not have said it any better myself!

I also have a lifetime subscription to Dvdfab, but it is this along with the 1 Click DVD tools that I always come back to. Best in it's class, and there really is no alternative.

Have a lifetime license for this, purchased prior to the developer's change of pricing regime. Since then have referred it to many friends, none of whom have balked at purchasing after the trial period. This speaks volumes re the quality and usefulness.

AnyDVD is one of my most used and most valued programs I have on my PC. I was lucky enough to get the lifetime license right before they changed their policy, but with it's ease of use and many updates- it's easily worth every dollar. Until next time, LEHenryJr LEHSYS.com

This is great, and everything else is crap. And people wonder why it's expensive? Duh. Those who can't stand to part with the coins under their sofa cushions despise the idea that they have to shell out for the best software in this category. So, they get along with garbage software, and rail against this title. That's really all there is to it.

To the people that constantly put 1's on the review for this software, please review something else. AnyDVD HD 6.7.1.7 beta is now available on the Slysoft website, and it doesn't take up as much space as DVDFab on your PC or laptop. DVDFab Passkey doesn't even decrypt half of the Blu ray discs that are out there, for example, to say nothing of DVDFab's shortcomings (always changing the subscription prices for its products, etc.) Google what the prices are for both products and make your choice on your own. However, people can download stuff from Slysoft or Fengtao and make the decision for themself without any ratings that I or anyone else will make on any product.
