Nice Organization/Options for SoftwareEasy to UseAllows you to save scansWorks on corrupt directoriesDetailed options for searches/scans Price is a bit too highTrial doesn't let you copy any files (just shows you that you can find and get them) Very good recovery software. It got my data from a secondary hard drive whose directory was corrupted after a bad defrag. I tried several other trial programs before buying this one (it was the only one to identify the folders and files, plus automatically skip bad files). It was worth the price but it seems like it should be cheaper (maybe $50). I would highly recommend this software if you are in a bind and need your data. Just make sure you have a back-up drive to transfer the files to. That makes it much easier.

The most efficient recovery engine exist, makes this program lightning fast, and extremely low on the CPU demands. requires some understanding. although most users will probably find the GUI quite straightforward.{little pricey...} must have !

Fast and easy. Recovered ALL data Price tag a bit steep, but now the company has it for future HD crashes. Didn't back up for 2 months when disaster hit. Lost the boot sector and the partition table. An IT consultant said it could cost $500-$2000 to recover the disk. After GetDataBack recovered over 150GB of data I verified the accuracy with data older than 2 months and not a single byte was lost.

It is really a great program to recover data from your hard disk and that too very fast. Nothing it is really good one Consider this: you have accidentally formatted your hard disk and now you want to recover your hard earned data. To do this Get back data is extremely useful software. It can recover data even if your hard disk is formatted or has been deleted. And that too extremely fast and without any user intervention. It scans your hard disk very fast and with minimal user intervention. And then you can recover data very easily. Works on all windows version even on windows 7! Great piece of software and I recommend everyone to have a copy of it.

- easy interface - tutorial videos on youtube etc - IT WORKED - quick scan took 3 mins and revealled ALL MY IMPORTANT DATA - 100% recovery - I wouldn't mind if it was cheaper for once-off use! :) Don't waste your time with other options, JUST BUY THIS ONE. I spent over a day troubleshooting my issue and tried at least 5 other programs. Every one the basic/standard scan took at least 1-2 hours. I also tried the full version of Kernel for NTFS which is a dog of a program (bad interface, would hang when trying to restore files - took 2 hours to scan too...). GetDataBack completed scan in 3 mins for my situation!!!! (using quick scan option) From that it revealled all my data that was hiding in a damaged partition and allowed for effortless transfer to another HDD. Don't waste your time with other inferior (and often more expensive) software. You can also see this program in action on youtube.

Easy to use.Competant professional software That has the ability to recover all files, data from crashed hard drive or raid array. I chose this software after downloading several demos from CNET(long live CNET). The cost of recovery sealed the deal I have yet to find any. OK: they want you to visit their website;to procure upgrades .You must download upgrades from their website the upgrade button is for your existing version only. Here we go ! Asus A8N SLI Deluxe, Asus M2N32 WS, Windows XP PRO 32and Windows XP PRO 64. Throw in aN AMD 4400 939 and an AMD Phenom 9600 , Now network the mess without MSN thinking you're opening your own website! I wanted to use the workstation for storage, Back and forth we went : a blue screen here a blue screen there ; enable the tld bug disable the tld bug ,confiure and reconfigure"server" ,reinstall and reactivate workstation OS...This wasn't too bad, a learning experience...... I was upgrading AVG on my 939 SLI Deluxe The prettiest flash of blue came across both screens!!! I thought I heard thunder and a voice say:" Figure this one out Dummy" Easy right! reboot and finish the upgrade! "Please insert operating system and press enter!!!OK 5 years of pictures and videos; five weddings ,birthdays etc.etc.I'll check the raid: enter raid bios: this is not a functional raid array!!!! I got nervous; you see I never backed up my raid 5 array and only 2 weddings were on DVD. I reconstructed the array tryed to reboot and....Nothing !!! My half-baked Windows 64 was now the workhorse I needed to search the web and download the appropriate solution . As said he raid array was rebuilt ,4 harddrives:parody, reduntant who needs a back-up? Do Not,Don't ,Please never delete,re format, format or disfigure in any other way, the information on your hard drive! If this program does not work some other software wil( but expect to pay through the nose) This Software has every intention of doing the job and doing it correctly...I had an extra disk installed

Once in the middle of resizing a partition, the power failed. When Windows would not recognize anything on the drive, GetDataBack for NTFS saved the day by recovering ALL the data on the drive. This is excellent software.

"Complete ****" There is nothing to like. DOESN'T WORK. This garbage software isn't free at all. You download and run it for free, but to get your files back, you'll have to pay $60. That is IF you can get your files back. The software doesn't work. The customer service is trash. Good luck.

WORKS GREAT. Costs $80, a bargain IMO. Easy to install, setup, lots of options but restored all deleted files (thousands of 'em) with default settings. Great cust service - emailed question about license at 8 PM Sun, answer by 9 AM Mon. No major drawbacks. Needs web access for help - I was using a borrowed PC from work to restore, didn't want to install my wireless adapter. Not a big problem, since the interface is intutive and gives you step by step instructions. Can't believe other reviewers are complaining that this isn't freeware. Incredible. Love that you can scan the trashed drive w/ free version and see what you can get back BEFORE YOU BUY. My son's HP PC was infected with one of the false security viruses and was whacked so badly we couldn't boot it to run antivirus and cleanres. Took to local computer store; they didnt' back anything up before trying to clean, as they said they would, and would up with most of the user folders and files deleted - including several thousand of my son's digital pix from college and all his MP3s. Also lost a bunch of design files from his engineering software from school. Asked one of our techs at work and he recommended GetDataBack. Took about two hours to scan about 250 GB drive, showed recoverable folders in a clear and intutive folder view. It lets you save the recovery scan, so it was easy to purchase key next day, load the scan, and add the key to recover without rescanning. Recovery worked flawlessly, all files copied to the clean hard drive in the same folder structure as before. Beautiful! Told my tech guy at work about the good results. He said he's tried several recovery softwares but always comes back to GetDataBack. This stuff has way more features than I used, and probably would recover from more serious problmes than we had. Customer service told me the license allows install on only one PC at a time--they ask that you uninstall before putting the software on another PC. Since you'd always want to use the

If you are looking for a free solution this one is not for you, while it will show you the recovered files it will not let you copy them unless you buy the product. Well, I was looking for some effective, not free. At first I bought GDB NTFS and tested it for a few days. I was impressed enough to purchase the $170 bundle. While some software does fat/ntfs/etc in one program, GDB uses separate software which I think produces better results. Costs a little more but anything good does!

recovered 50% of my data I dealt with Jody Wilkes@ Runtime software. Expressed my concern that only recovered 50% of my files. Expressed disappointment as reviews indicated high level of recovery. Sent support showing instructions were followed. No explanation for failure! Stay away. Jody actually recommended that I should have checked every song/picture on my 50 GB that I was trying to recover before paying the one-time fee. In reading other reviewes people indicated very high % recovery. I saw about 50% and still paid the full amount despite following the instructions as verified with Jody at Runtime Software. THIS IS A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! Find a diferent Recovery Software like Virtual Lab which stands behind its commitment.

This is a great data recovery program. I am a Network Engineer and was looking to test this recovery program. It worked great, so great I purchased the whole recovery package. Reality is some situations are not very recoverable with any software. Other manufacturers handle fat, ntfs etc, in one program where as Get Data Back is a separate program for fat, ntfs and linux, but I think it makes for a better recovery. Great piece of software, worth the purchase. I have tested it under a variety of condition and it works where others have failed. It is easy for a novice user, brings back original file names and also has options for the advanced user. Physically damaged hard drives and previous panic attempts (installing tons of different programs in an attempt to recover data) are usually what causes poor recovery regardless of who's product is used. This works!

Allowed me to recover massive amounts of data due to a problem with my harddrive after scanning, you can save the scan for later use. (see review for more information) the time it took to scan the harddrive was extensive (see review for more information) i had to run it a few times (see review for more information) In my computer, I have 3 hard drives: a 500 gig (with 2 partitions, one for the OS, one for storage), along with a 2 TB hard drive and a 1.5 tb hard drive, both of those for data storage. The 1.5 TB hard drive went bad (MFT issues) and could I could no longer access the files. After removing the hard drive and installing a new 1.5 TB hard drive in its place, i began to search for a way to recover the data. Needless to say, after hours searching, I came to the conclusion that it was going to cost me money, as what I needed to be done was not a service provided for free (sad face). Using a hard drive dock (search for model ST0014U on www.bestbuy.com to see the one I own), I reconnected the hard drive to my computer through a USB port and used this program to scan it. At the time it was only the free copy and it took approximatly 15 hours to scan the entire drive. That was right on par for what I had seen from other users, so expect to spend approximately 1 hour for every 100 gigs of hard drive space on the drive. After it finished scanning, it showed that it had found EVERYTHING: videos, pictures, word documents, files, folders...you name it...it was there. Biting the bullet, I paid the price for the program and after receiving the registration key, began copy the files over to the new hard drive I have installed. Unfortunately, it seemed It did not have the capability to simply repair the MFT, which is ok as I already had the new hard drive anyway. The copy time could be based on this factor: a 350 mb video file of a 40 minute long video would take approximately 6 to 10 seconds to copy over. The one downside of the program that I found was this: when

maintained the directory tree of most files recovered, worked as expected without reading instructions for hours. Allowed me to see what I would recover BEFORE I had to pay for it. Once paid, the program is mine to keep using. It is costly, but how much is your data worth ? This program saw the data on the drive, almost every free or free to try program failed to recover any data. The interface and instructions are clear and easy to use.
