PerfectDisk redefines enterprise disk defragmentation addressing an issue that Microsoft, in various published artices, states is often the cause of poor system performance on a system. Provides the most comprehensive solution for defragmentation by optimizing virtually every file on the system, including the Master File Table ($MFT), all metadata, paging files, and directories. Patented SMART Placement technology arranges files on a disk to ensure that free space is consolidated and the future rate of fragmentation is minimized.

It works invisibly in the background keeping disk defratmented Good price and there's often a discount available Excellent Customer Service Response None I can think of I'd use the other major disk keeping defragmenter for many years but due to continued rising cost, I switched over to PerfectDisk about a year ago after reading excellent reviews on it. I'm very happy I did. It runs invisibly in the background and does exactly what they say it will do. The one time I contacted customer service via e-mail with a question, they were back to me in less than 24 hours, a good response time in my opinion. I felt the cost of the software was very reasonable, particularly since they have frequent discount codes available. Finally, PerfectDisk does offer a free "drive it before you buy it" trial period that can help you determine if this is theone that meets your needs. I recommend giving this degragmenter a try!

I don't usually end up buying PC health programs, but I might actually do so with this. It's incredibly easy to figure out, powerful and effective, and produces measurable results every time. With I would have know about it sooner. Only one thing, and it's probably just me not seeing something or doing something right, but the SMART option, that defrags the free space, will do a little bit, but still leave most of it highly fragmented. Doesn't seem to hurt anything though.

Does a nice job. But I give it a 3 because of the cost. I find that Puran Defrag does just as well and for free. In marketing, people who pay for a service are going to defend their investment by swearing that a payed for service is better.

I downloaded the trial version today. It's annoying how it starts doing stuff that I didn't ask and I had to turn off a lot of settings. Also the "Most Fragemented Files" list is buggy, it does not seem to always update. If I'm going to defrag I want to know what's fragmented first. So far I don't love this version.

Defragging is not as useful as it once was, SSD's don't need defragging and Windows Vista/7 already come with a good defragger, Why waste money when you don't need to?

I own this thing; exactly why I don't know. I haven't tried this latest version but it takes forever to defrag my son's 4G game and always leaves fragments. S.M.A.R.T is not working, and it constantly complains about excessive metadata. Either I don't know what I'm doing or this software just doesn't work, but either way, this software is just too complicated and the interface is too crowded and confusing, and it always says my computer is running at peak performance even though the map is full of red squares.
