Puran Defrag is a very simple defragmentation utility which defrag the files that means it collect all the fragments of a file and puts them togather, this upgrades your hard disk performance and thus overall system speed. In addition it results in low wear and tear of hard disk and therefore increases its life.

I think that its the best defragmenter out there because its quick and through at defragging my 500 GB HD (which is filled with 83 GB of data). It also has an automatic defragging ability which keeps my hard drive from getting very fragmented and doesn't take up much CPU when you're playing a game.

"Better than all the others I tried them all" I just purchased your defrag software a few days ago. I was looking for something that was easy to use and something that did a complete defrag, also software that would provide a clear difference in the speed of my computer, I had tried others like ultimate defrag, diskkeeper, perfectdisk, and then I found "Puran Defrag".....Needless to say I was very pleased...It is so easy to use and efficient. I can't say enough good things about it. I will finish this note by saying Thank You, Puran Software. nothing at all

"time waster" did not see any did not understand why fillers had to be put in records not being used software did do what it supposed to do, but appeared to do what seemed like wasted effort in filling blank recordes.

This program has possibly the best boot-time defragmentation functionality and is the only program I've found which moves the directories to the absolute fastest position of your drive (rather than "after the MFT"). I'm particularing impressed with the fact that while eventually UltimateDefrag's boot time system stopped working for me (I have NO idea why), this one works and does a damn good job. The rest of the program appears to be as good and fully-featured as PerfectDisk, which is pretty much the commercial defragmenter of choice for most people, and it's definitely worth installing and trying out. India in da shizzouse, yeah boyee. Note that this review is for v6.1 (the latest at time of writing).

"The best defragger on the world" It is the best defragger in the world. It is better then perfectdisk and diskeeper, because it is very fast en good. It had also a very good boot defrag engine. My hard drive is faster than ever and even my internet is faster now. I have no cons for this product. Just test it, and try it for yourself and enjoy.

I used to be a long-time customer of PerfectDisk, but now I shift to Puran. Its boot-time defrag is even better than Ultradefrag and PerfectDisk.Automatic defrag feature is similar to Stealth Patrol, far more effective than Diskeeper's Invisitasking. Although Puran is very fast in defragging, it takes much more time on other features like consolidating free space and optimizing files. Importantly, it requires more than 1 time defrag to completely achieve the desired performance. My laptop is now faster than is was when using I-FAAST of Diskeeper or SMARTPlacement of PerfectDisk. The only thing Puran should do is to invest more effort and money in marketing strategy to let people know about this great defragmentation software.

I hate to seem to be the lone dissenter here but after using this defragmentation tool for a few days it has slowed my boot time and loading of my most commonly used programs. I appreciate the work put into it and that is free. I hope they can improve it. For now I'll stay with my current defrag utility.

"superb product" Make your computer like a new one with this product. The boot defrag facility makes your computer fly.Superior to mydefrag. None at this moment I thought mydefrag was the best before i used this product.Performance of win7 pc increased remarkably after using the boot defrag function.

I tried this out. Definitely has good potential. But some small niggles need sorting. I have WinXP-SP3 with Avira and Comodo Time Machine. I enabled their advanced file placement and defragging option (I forget the name) and opted to reboot-defrag-reboot. This seemed to have made a difference to my boot time, but cause several system files to get changed in some way, giving me pop-ups asking me to restore them from the installation disk. Had to restore to earlier good configuration with ComodoTM.

Surprisingly solid defragmenter, with very fast defrag times and a smart system optimizer which makes a decent use of the fast disk area. The on-the-fly function is very efficient, although it doesn't work well with service-based screensavers like Boinc (except by fiddling with the Boinc CPU usage).

not bad guys, i think iobit smart defrag does a better job than this and is the best of the free defragmenter progs ive used (puran auslogics ultra defrag)

Very effective defrag, boot-time defrag gets to files made unavailable to many other defraggers, optimization options to speed program loading, and a quick and easy, intuitive interface make for a superior product. A bit on the slow side (though not as slow as the Windows utility) when optimization options are chosen- but then again there's extra work to be done... In the pas few weeks I have tried nearly a dozen paid, trial and free defragging utilities. The best defrag percentage any of them could achieve was 3%. Some of the optimization schemes left files scattered across the disk and boot times that stretched the limits of patience. Yesterday I found Puran Disk Defrag and decided to give it a try. Imagine my surprise when my disk scanner reported that Puran achieved a 0% defrag on the FIRST try (I know that figure is not exact, but it IS better than other defraggers). Its optimization also helped speed up loading of my antivirus suite and undid a bothersome extra-long boot time resulting from another defragger's "optimization" scheme. The interface is easy to utilize, and the program works smoothly and does the most thorough defrag I've yet encountered. I had no problems on my XP SP3+ -equipped machine. I HIGHLY recommend this excellent product. Well done, Puran!

I have tried Puran Defrag on XP-SP3 and Win7 Home Premium on separate PCs. On both occasions I found that the defragger works OK as long as you don't select the boot time defrag PIOZR tech that they claim is their USP. This feature seems to corrupt certain files on the system. On XP, I found I just could not boot up again, while on Win7, I was unable to connect to the internet through my LAN connector. On both occasions I was smart enough to maintain a backup disc image, which saved me from hours of redoing everything. Although the software gave some improvement over the results I got from other defraggers, I still feel that there is something they really need to do about these issues.
