Phex is a multi-plattform and spyware free gnutella client. All you need is a operation system that offers a Java Runtime Environment. It is completly free, open source and without spyware. It offers a research functionlity that will find new download candidates automaticly for you. You can even specify the search terms that are used for research. It will look for files that match the search terms and the file size of the download. Combined with the resume download feature across hosts, it offers you a very powerfull download engine.

"it is a well put together program that gets the job done" i like that you can download fast sometimes it takes forever to connect and the icons when you download need to be like what they are like if its a video make it have a movie reel and if its a song let it have a music note by it.

"Awesome P2P!!" Using this program, I've NEVER downloaded any viruses. (Which is great compared with LimeWire and FrostWire, which end up downloading viruses)It's very easy to understand/use. And gives you the same variety of searches as LimeWire and FrostWire. It lacks (like LimeWire and FrostWire) the ability to incorporate a viruses scanning program to scan downloaded files. But since I haven't gotten any viruses, it's ok.It also uses a fair amount of system resources. It's also a bit slower. I've never downloaded any viruses while using this program, while on the other hand, when I use LimeWire I got 3 viruses in the first 5 downloads, and with FrostWire I got 2 viruses in the first five downloads.

"It is not bad but its not for me" It good with what it is used for nice. Not my type of program so I don't use it Nothing is wrong it is not my type of program thanks.

looks nice. downloaded mp3 files ..but i wasn't looking for mp3.. looking for pdf files which i could not download for some reason. got wma, mov ,mp3,but not anything i was searching for. file type changes by itself back to ANY whenever i start a search..changes from document to any. i gave it three hours..it gave me an headache
