Paint.NET by Paint.NET Team Screenshot Paint.NET Screenshot

Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools. It started development as an undergraduate college senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. Originally intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with Windows, it has grown into a powerful yet simple tool for photo and image editing. The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with a small amount of C++ for installation and shell-integration related functionality.Paint.NET is freeware, but the team is accepting donations here.

"easy and clean" it is very friendly, has the main commands and it is free! nothing to state. it is great, according to the goals it has proposed. it is not photoshop or another "heavy" software, and limited, it is excelent. well done and thanks*

Changes and fixes since v3.5.2: * Fixed DirectDraw Surface (.dds) file format support for CPUs which do not have SSE2 (Pentium III, Athlon XP) * Fixed an issue with the File->Save dialog related to file type plugins that were only written for opening (importing). * Fixed some crashes which were supposed to be "out of memory" errors. * Fixed a race condition with the New Image, Canvas Size, and Resize dialogs. If you typed extremely fast you could cause a crash by typing a negative number and immediately pressing OK or Enter. * Fixed a File->Save dialog issue in Win7/Vista where it could ask you about overwriting the wrong file.

i prefers GIMP for more advanced features. Paint.NET should be included in Windows so long ago as "basic paint program", but Microsoft did not.

"Junto con Gimp los mejores free" Fcil de manejar No es tan completo como Gimp Te servir

"great for basic changes" Does all the basic things. Can't do anything "spectacular"

"Beautiful program" No doubt, this is the best alternative for those who can't afford to use Photoshop... Paint.NET is very similar and... it's FREE! Nothing we can complain about.

"Es un muy buen producto" Te permite realizar operaciones que solo algunos programas de paga tienen Podra incluir alguna utileria que facilitara el cambio de escena. Es un programa robusto que permite el tratamiento de las fotografas de una manera avanzada, pero fcil de usar.

I consider myself as a mom with intermediate needs when it comes to photo fixing, cropping and crafting. This product does what anyone with simple to intermediate needs and then some. My photos look better when published online and it easy to use. NOTHING YET. Forget about photoshop, paintshop and all those other products to try and then buy. If you want the best for your bucks (which is nothing) and consider yourself a fairly good, crafty, photo cropping user, then this is the one for you. All your basic needs and some advance one are yours to use whenever you want. Best of all anyone can use this software - even my 6-year-old, now how good is that?

"It's OK, for the cost it's great." It's free. Seems awkward to work with, extra steps seem included. Could be my lack of experience in working with it. For simple jobs works very well, again I do not have a great deal of experience in using this product, yet.

"Great Product" Simplicity and Power Could use more brushes

"Did everything I wanted and was free." The program had much more functionality than Paint and produced much better results on a logo I created with both programs. Program was free too which was nice. While this was not by any means a top level program, it is well deserving to try.

JustForMyMemory, just because of that, you are giving 3 stars? Great....

"Still a great freebie. SUPER!" This application just gets better and better over time. Well worth the time to download it and learn to use it.. I feel guilty I've never made a contribution to Paint.net it's that good. None, nope, nothing. Works like a charm. Get this one, for sure! If it gets five stars from me, it is five stars, nearly perfect.

"Does everything I've ever needed in pic editing." Many features. Lots of very fine adjustments to most aspects of photos. Somewhat high learning curve. If you need a fairly extensive pallet of adjustments, but don't want to by Adobe Photoshop, this will probably meet your needs.

Free, does more then windows paint. can do basic photo editing what can you say it is free... -_- if you just want some thing to play around with and for free this is great. if you are looking for high end photo shop tools then send the $100 on it. although you could kind of get by with this and Gimpy is a nice add on to use with this or openoffice

Easy to use when you get familiar with the program. This is my first attempt so my learning curve is quite steep. I like the program but not all the mistakes I make because I don't understand all the processes. Being new to photo enhancements I will make many. This program is capable of doing much more than I expected! Those familiar with working photo enhancements may enjoy this program more than I do right now. Give me time and I'm sure I will enjoy this program to it's fullest capabilities.

I love the layout, very similar to other programs, so easier learning curve. Printing errors, and some text editing features, not crazy about. I really like the layout and the simplicity of the features, however editing the text was difficult to select and move around without messing up the other layers.

Simple layout and easy for beginners.... none so far.... 4 stars!! easy and its free that y!!!
