I was a fan of Orbit Downloader prior to version 3, but ever since then they have been aggressively advertising products that have nothing to do with their own (Bing Tool-bar, Grab Pro, Software Updater), not to mention (Offering to Change your Home Page to Orbit and Orbit Suggestions on Browser Navigation Error) . Their new Software Updater is Worthless, it detects beta versions of products that are still been tested and Pro versions of functioning Freeware. Their extremely aggressive marketing is starting to kill their product. Maybe if Free Download Manager wasn't so ugly I would switch.

Product works as claimed and has no problems downloading FLV, MP4 ect.....all recognised videos. Does not like to 'close'. Every time an instance opens it remains open, even if you close it then it only minimises to Tray. You end up with heaps of them in the tray. Can be sorted in preferences so it closes without minimising. Works Great.

Much easier to retrieve the download by clicking on the pop up window. Easier to see that the download has taken place, plus the status of the operation. Not any I have noticed yet. I am very happy with this product, as previously it was a bit convoluted to track the download on my computer. At least it is easy now = what I prefer.

The program is easy to use, comes with grab as well, which is super nice. The ask tool bar is a pain, I end up uninstalling it every time even if you say no it installs sometimes. I don't like the orbit up dater either which they force you to take and I have to uninstall it as well. The program it's self is super but with the ask tool bar and the darn obit up dater not worth giving five star's too.

Excellent product and easy to operate. Rather difficult to install, especially if you want to install it with other antivirus programs.

It can do what it says. It doesn't work in Firefox for everyone (like me and several other reviewers below). It did work in Explorer for me, however. Also, it is more intrusive, suggesting many additional installs on installation, apparently installing some anyway. It can provide an alternative to Youtube Downloader (at youtubedownload.altervista.org) when the latter is down, such as right now. However, I'd uninstall this as soon as the other one is running, because it clearly does more things than it first says (like software updater), which gives you the feeling that you don't have control of what it's doing.

It actually displays a cute "wink" at you smily face icon when it defeats Windows uninstaller! lol Partially delete it manually and then run Windows uninstall and it takes control and gives you the option to repair or modify only; and winks! lol It pulls of a trick I've never seen before; if you attempt to edit or remove the "trusted installer" user group in the security tab of it's properties to elevate administrative control, watch it magically create another "trusted installer" user group To get rid of it you have to boot up in safe mode, run as administrator, take ownership of the folder, remove "trusted installer" user group, delete all folders in program files (x86), the folder in users/your profile/AppData/local/Ask.com, and manually delete all registry entries. FUN FUN FUN!

This great for downloading. I've had allsorts of problems with most other downloaders but this one never fails. It will download from almost every video site and anything which can be downloaded. The little getit option pops up and simply click it. The little "Getit" it option can get in the way of what you want to click on but its worth it. its always popping up near your cursor. I love it and use it to download everything.

This is the best Downloader I have used, but that new 'Software Updater' is a load of rubbish. Runs when it wants to, uses 100% of CPU, and when you want to update something - it dumps you on somebody's home page. Fortunately you can turn it off!.
