"Mommy why do my friends make fun of Improvelence? "Well, SUSIE, that's because he's a worthless Troll who should go back under his bridge and stay there until he can learn to play nice with the normal folks." - - - Kestrel's best build to date. Everything seems to be working smooth-as-silk for me so far (I'll update if this changes). Can't be long until a final release now...! :)

Best browser around. Both alpha and beta builds barely crash on me. Firefox is good, but not even close.

"Mommy why do my friends make fun of our web browser?" "Well Susy, thats because daddy is an a****** and makes us use Opera"

Until they will fix websites incompatibilities, Opera 9.5 beta is useless.

I like Opera, but ive started using Mozilla and like it also. I think the powers to be should combine forces and have a OPERZILLA web browzer. ;=)

MikeTechno said:Best Featue: when you copy text from a web page and past it into your e-mail client, this version of Opera knows to strip out all of the embedded web/HTML instructions and code ... EVERY other browser needs to copy that one incredible feature. Write in plain text. HTML mail's just a waste of bandwidth. Alternatively https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/134 or Google for system-wide equivalents.

Fast, reliable and flexible. In this moment is the best. I use W2000, XP and Win98 and it runs perfect on them all.

Bookmark swap bug STILL exists, even after re-introducing it several builds and a flurry of Opera beta users reqwuesting it be fixed. Download improper extension bug is still there. Back to 9.27 for me. How sad.

ey guys ... THIS IS AN ALPHA/BETA RELEASE!!!! alphas and betas are here to test, to find bugy ecc. use the official release instead of this one if you don' wanna have problems!

Rated 10/50 by krgood at Apr 17, 2008

Last two releases would not load home page (google) and hangs at every URL I select. I like Opera but there seems to be numerous bugs that keep it in the low end. I see the same bugs at every release. Maybe it will get a heads up on FF someday..

Simply awesome, there are still some bugs here. But at last Yahoo! mail works completely, including the DHTML right click menus which just were not working before in 9.26 (if you're not aware, instead of right clicking, left click and hold and the menu will pop up.) I'm obsolutely chomping at the bit for 9.5 final.

Diam0nd: Did you notice "Write a Review" at the top of this thread? Do you know the difference between being objective and Opera fanboy? If Opera release software with statements like "In fact, they may not work at all" then they must take the heat in review forums. I am a great fan of Opera but 9.50 final is taking too long.

This build fix some important issues. Well Opera has the best result in ACID3 test CONGRATS!

nms04? the purpose of having a "write a review " button is just that- to talk about the good and bad. If a company is smart they would look at the reviews here and use the bad ones to fix the problems. So this is the best place to make comments on any release.:) For me, just saying these are betas doesn't preclude talking about the problems with the betas..that's the whole point.

improvelence you're an idiot. Getting better all the time...

9.5 has generally been superb throughout the whole (very long) beta cycle. It's wonderfully fast, seems to work with pretty much everysite I visit now. Don't use the mail component so can't comment on latest improvements there. but as a browser, it's really superb. Please, Opera, get this out of beta... it feels like it's been in beta forever!

Rated 50/50 by Paul Skinner at Apr 23, 2008

For me, as a technical minded person, this is the best browser for my needs. I can't really fault the new 9.5 version as it renders almost all the IE designed pages as it should do now.
