super fast, simple, really easy to use has problems with some webpages, pictures often cannot be viewed. i'm not sure if it's just my com, but opera crashes somewhat easily a pretty good browser if you are for speed, but not good enough to be my main browser.

Opera turbo really works!!! I just realized it, None of the other browsers opened pages without delay, but turbo feature in opera helped me out!!! Try it to see it yourself. NONE THAT I CAN THINK OF NOW. Fast even in slow networks. Opera = Innovation + great looks.

Loads qucklly and lightening fast. Hogs memory, cookie policy bizarre and no built-in adware defence. Oh how I would love to love Opera. In theory a wonderful product, it looks great, has all sorts of browsing bells and whistles and it is SO fast. With every new release I hope that it will have ironed out its drawbacks and be the browser I can switch to for first choice.Yet with every release it seems the people behind Opera install yet more silly supposedly vital "upgrades" to the browsing experience whiile continuing to ignore and fail to address the basic flaws of this browser. Namely:It hogs memory unlike any other top-rated browser. It refuses point blank to remember your settings and passwords on about half the sites you visit on the web.It has no bulit-in protection like, say, Adblock Plus.Message to the Opers developers: you have a potentially great product here, but as you seem more concerned with adding pointless browsing elaborations than dealing with the performance/compatibility/security deficiencies, don't be too suprised that you're still #6 on the list here.

-Innovative -Reliable -Sleek -Embraces Web Standards -Lots of functionality Needs more marketing. I hate how all the mainstream browsers (especially FireFox) basically took Opera's innovations, marketed them, and have become the browser giants. Opera has been around for a very long time now, and has introduced many of the browsing technologies we take for granted. I've been an Opera user for over a decade and don't plan on changing anytime soon. I love it when people talk about a new Firefox release or how they just installed chrome and then talk about features that have been on Opera for years prior.

Nice, fast, and fluid. Certain sites function poorly.

* Fast As You Could Ever Imagine. * Stays Fast! * Beautiful Design. * Customizable. * LOADED WITH FEATURES * The only con I can think of isn't even a problem with the browser. The only con is Opera is so over looked by the tech world these days. All you hear about is Chrome, Firefox and IE. If more people would download this browser and turn IE off and stay away from the others, they would be amazed at what a browser can really do.

1. Mouse Gesture 2. Save Passwords 3. Extreme Fast compared to chrome and firefox 1. It lacks the download videos extension of Firefox wherein in any site you can download any video. 2. Bookmarking Firefox: It hangs a lot and the speed is way slower than opera and chrome. Only use it as a secondary browser to download videos. Chrome: Just downloaded it a couple of days ago because of the news that its market share has increased (just to try its features). Now, it lacks many things. First I miss the opera mouse gestures in which you can easily use your mouse to browse. Next, you cannot save mht or open mht files. Next, I notice that Opera is still faster in loading sites. The new thing in chrome is that it has the save password now. I just un-installed this software. Opera: Much underrated browser. It has mouse gestures, it can save passwords. And it is fast. The problem is in the bookmark section and also when I download part of VB 2010 codes in 4shared, it will not download that part. Instead, it opens a new tab wherein codes are written.. Any help is appreciated. And also, can anyone help me with the icons of the .mht files. The files are not showing the opera icon anymore. Maybe, it is due to the installation or I might have deleted crucial registry files. Please help me! Otherwise, its a great software.

The Fastest Click&Crash Browser in the World !

Sorry guys, even if dotnetnightmare is a fanboy of something he is absolutely right about the bugs in Opera. Yesterday I worked on a real simple CSS-Layout for a web site and the only browser which could not handle it was Opera. Try to render a third clearing DIV container under 2 floating DIV containers! The clearing DIV should be rendered directly at the bottom of the 2 foating DIVs - even if the last of the 2 floating DIVs is shorter than the first. Opera renders the clearing DIV under the shorter second floating DIV and overlays the first and longest floating DIV with it. This is definetively a wrong behaviour. You need another enclosing wrapper DIV for the floating DIVs to get the correct behaviour. Opera has a bunch of well known bugs. Of course it is the only browser who reaches a score of 100 in acid3 test. But what is that score if the browser can not handle a simple float/clearing CSS?

Great, good, fast and reliable.... No other words can say... Nothing..... Everything is all right.. The best ever browser of all time. The number one! Second is the Chrome 6, Third is the Firefox 4...

Still not as satisfied as I have been before with Opera. And just ignore foolish rants like dotnightmare's much in the same way you would PhatEsther. Opera is pre-bundled with a lot of the functionality that other browsers achieve only through plugins that mimic Opera's innovations with the only difference being that that functionality isn't broken with each new release.

Excellent, cured a few problems with 10.61. Now shuts down much quicker whereas before it could take literally minutes to shutdown and release memory. @dotnetnightmare, "If a website works in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, & Konqueror, should'nt it work in Opera?" Firstly the HTML and CSS specifications are not set in stone, so each browser vender has leeway on how they interpret the specs. Secondly just because other browsers allow borked code to run properly doesn't mean that is how browsers should behave. This attitude is why some people (mainly businesses) are still able to stick with IE6 and other older browsers, it might not render perfectly but it will still work. But that's the problem. They are simply too forgiving of crap code. If someone produces a buggy desktop application do you still expect the operating system to magically run it correctly? You don't do you. You expect it to error. HTML and JavaScript is no different. It's still code. Throw in loose HTML CSS specs and you're going to get trouble. For some reason web users like yourself expect semantically incorrect code to work when there is no reason to expect it to. hoogladoogla below gets it right. He has a genuine bug and therefore a genuine gripe about Opera performance. Incidentally, the Opera solution to fixing broken website with a downloable Browser.js file is excellent as it allows borked code to be fixed by users themselves even if the offending website refuses to fix their code. With other browsers you'd need and entirely new build, though for Firefox you have greasemonkey and associated addons that can do similar.

Opera takes a little time to get used to but the effort is worth while. I occasionally also use Firefox, and if unavoidable use IE; Opera is so much faster than either of these. To try it is to love it!
