Fast, good alternative to IE8. Opera Link, Opera Unite, and Opera Turbo are good features. Very customizable, and you can have different skins for it. Widgets are just plain stupid, none of them are good. I have a nine year old IBM Thinkpad T20, and for it to browse at a little less then decent speed, it needs to have lightweight programs on it. I mean, I use CCleaner every day, and defrag once a week. I have to keep the programs on it the bare essentials and thats it. Opera is nice and lightweight, so it is the fastest browser on my old old computer. The only other browser on my computer is the Google Chrome Canary Build, and Google Chrome which is on the Stable Channel. Opera is waaaay faster than Chrome on my computer. So overall, if you have an old computer, Opera 10.60 is for you.

combines browser & email under one app some websites don't recognize it, they favor MS IE Preferred because it's less prone to virus attack

Faster than ever, simple to use, built in email and notepad and all the other features it's been the first to introduce over the years. It used to have a sort of double back arrow that could take you straight back to the first page of a web site instead of having to go back a page at a time. I wish they'd bring that feature back.

on my computer opera is faster, more customizable, slicker, and just better than any other browser, including IE, firefox, and chrome!!!!!!!! Nothing!!!!!!! best browser on the web, uses less memory than the other browsers that say that they're faster(theyre not faster)

There are people who never try a software and then they speak very bad abou it. Opera is one of the best internet browser in the world. Fast, secure, NO SPYWARE!, a great browser! I use Opera and Firefox. Both are very good, but Opera is my ever choice 'cause is simple a intuitive! ************************************************************************** Opera es uno de los mejores navegadores que existen. this version is fastest, but there still all the great stuff from opera including the services of turbo and unite and link which i love. you can notice it works better and had some bugs fixed and suport html5 and webM. There is a compatibility issue with hotmail, but i read on web blogs and forums that the same problems occurred in firefox, internet explorer, safary and chrome so its not really an opera issue, Opera is a great browser. I can say that its the best of all. its fast, slim, looks great, is customizable, and the widgets (add ons) and opera services (chat, notes, mail. blog reader, opera turbo, opera unite and link synchronization) are great, work well, and are very useful. its fully featured, intuitive, and adaptable to any ones need or preferences. Why anyone use other browser. At least is wort a try.

Love the speed, privacy, community features and cell phone browser share, and the interface is very nice and user friendly as well. Secure and small footprint on the OS. Great browser. Java is problematic with Opera since the browser its self is java based. Other than that none for me thus far. I had become a slave to MS & Windows so recently I have begun to explore other services like Linux Distros and various browsers. I have fallen for several browsers such as Chrome/Chromium, Opera, Dolphin, and Firefox. I am a person that loves alternatives and free open source ones are the best! I find myself using all these browsers for "change of pace" and their overall better apeal than IE. I would highly recomend Opera if you're into speed and security...not to mention the other various perks this browser has to offer!

Opens quicker than it's competitors & loads pages faster. Easy to install, set up and get started. Tool bars are not as customizable as Firefox (or an others). DOES NOT work with Yahoo Mail, and support for problems is nonexistent! While it has an edge in speed, it does lack in customization & compatibility. Other than a search of a database there is NO SUPPORT for problems. I have used a Yahoo Mail account as part of my business for over 10 years, but Opera is not compatible with Yahoo Mail and there is no indication that the issue is being addressed. Opera is nice for quick seraches, but for my business needs Firefox still outclasses it!

Very fast, very secure! Many websites do not work properly with Opera. Opera Team will tell you how it's because Opera displays the web the way it should be. They'll even tell you how each site can change their code or scripts to work properly in Opera. 1. Have you ever called up a website and asked them to change their code because Opera Dev's said it's wrong? 2. If a website works in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, & Konqueror, should'nt it work in Opera? 3. Chrome & Firefox have a vast amount of plugins & extensions to give the user greater flexibility & customization. Why does Opera have none? 4. Opera forum has a huge list of DAILY complaints from users that fills web page after web page. Theirs even a whole section dedicated to website incompatibility. Some of these are real show stopper bugs, even in their current release build. How come Firefox, I.E, Safari, don't have these extensive web forums for bugs & crashes in their current STABLE builds? Answer those questions and you will know why Opera suck and these positive reviews are peoples little kids who grabbed the keyboard while mommy & daddy went pe pee. These are the same idiots who tell you how easy linux is and how it is so much better than windows. Linux is free, Opera is free, what do I have to gain by not using them & telling you how they suck? I.E has the most users, FACT! Opera is made for Opera, not for the web & the people who use it.

Super Fast, liked the speed dials, page easy on the eyes. Does not do well with Yahoo. Cannot at toolbars. Is not compatible with some websites Not as fun as the mobile version. I like using Opera when I'm pressed for time with browser start-up speed. I'm spoiled by IE many customizable features and being able to add my favorite toolbars. Sorry Opera.

Opera is fast and nice interface really big problems with java script software applications. Several sites can not be manage at all, some other have really serious problems linking, running applications, viewing the page....stuff like that. Opera stuff really need to work on it. General terms.... atter java issues .... opera is a great browser.
