Opera is really a good option to browse the web; its fast, light and has a lot (REALLY!) a lot of options to improve the experience on the web. Some times the "options" opera include may "distract" you more than help you, but its a matter of practice i think There are masy so good options out there to choose (MF, GC) and those are excellent too, so choose the one you like the most

Pretty fast and snappy - and quicker than Firefox. Its non-standard design is a real pain. There is no top menu and the user is required to figure out where everything is, including the setting up. There really should be a top menu. It's a real shame that this fast browser has been let down by idiot developers who's misplaced geek egos has led then to producing this awful layout. I wanted to check the version number - but no Help drop-down, because there's no top menu. I wanted to set the home page, but I couldn't because there's no top menu. Complete idiots. About to uninstall this crap now and try Avant.

It is very very fast. Sooo CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL out of the box. It really is the best looking browser Ive seen, even without adding any themes or addons. There were a couple times that a strange error happened, when everything froze only in one window. The support isn't all there yet for this browser, I hope more people find out just how great Opera is and it becomes a standard. Opera is a masterpiece. They have studied what a browser should be and they gave us the most beautiful, useful and streamlined Internet controller I have ever used. There are addons straight out of the box that I had to hunt down for Firefox use, that really really impressed me. The more I use this browser, the happier I get, which is usually the opposite with every other Ive used (all of them). KUDOS TO OPERA! I hope they eventually get the recognition they deserve. Quick, efficient and stable Need additional plug-in to made it, like Adobe flash player and Java Most of people who bash opera is too lazy for download additional plug-in or their computer already overcapacity, i already tried in games on-line which often complained but find no problem as long as Adobe flash player and Java already installed on computer.

It's great: fast, reliable, and looks nice. The visual desing is clean and neat. Don't gets well to several important -to me- sites. The new menu design hides a little some things I'm used to have more handy. Still can

Almost everything. too few to mention ... (Sinatra) :-) To those of you moaners who come and talk about, Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc. You have to understand that these browsers are not in the same high division as Opera. Opera is simply the most customizable browser available; you can set exactly the buttons you want to appear on your toolbar, apply user CSS and JS files to certain sites, and set custom searches and site-specific behaviors Without going into menus you can easily access: "Fit to Width" (screen) "Turbo mode" (for extra fast surfing) "Do not load images" (super-fast surfing) "Remove background) (helpful on dark backgrounds with e.g. red text)) ?Clicking to block single elements? (remove annoying ads) By pressing F12 in Opera you access this features: ?Open All Pop-Ups? ?Open Pop-ups in Bad ground? ?Block Unwanted Pop-Ups? ?Block All Pop-Ups? --- ?E/d Images Animated Images? (E/d = Enable/disable) ?E/d Sound in Web Pages? ?E/d Java? ?E/d Plug-Ins? ?E/d JavaScript? ?E/d Opera Turbo? --- ?E/d Cookies? ?Send Referrer Information? ?E/d Proxy Servers? --- ?Edit Site Preferences...? Overall: Opera is by far, the best browser.

Opera Unite is a cool twist on the ability to extend your browser. Solid performance, especially with JavaScript. Support for HTML5. Widgets are cool and fun to play with. Does not support ad-block extension as Firefox and Chrome do because of no extension support. Well, not the same type of add-on support anyway. Amazing browser. To put it simply, it just works and does not get in your way like IE and FF can sometimes. The overall performance is amazing. It is a great browser for power users and the not so tech-savvy. If you want a browser that does basically as much or as little as you want it to do, this is your browser.

Lightning fast probably the fastest browser i ever tested, aero skin customized, nice widgets. open/next tab bug! it open the homepage instead of the web page you browse and this is kinda annoying and inconvenient, resource hog, it sometimes consume too much memory load. double opera.exe running on the system. website incompatibilty. etc. Just avoid opera 10.53 at this moment too many bugs to fix though. wait for the next version, maybe it will be more stable.

Looks better, performs better, and functions more smoothly than other browsers. Older versions had cons, the new Opera is outstanding. I still use firefox on occasion for one or two odd jobs, but the new Opera is the browser I prefer above firefox, chrome, and safari. Try it for a couple of weeks and see if it doesn't give you a better feel than the others.

It is truly, very fast! Possible nose bleeds... I was mired in slow computing with the Sunbird group, and did not want IE as my browser. Opera claimed to be very fast, and it did not dissapoint. With the 10.54 upgrade, she is sexy, and still very fast. Thank you CNET, for the Opera upgrade!

hurzx, just because you haven't been able to repeat the issue that dotnetnigtmare is referring to, doesn't mean to say it doesn't exist. I have had the same issue when watching iplayer through opera, close opera down and the sound from the video carries on in the background until you go into task manager and kill it. That said I find opera by far the fastest browser having previously been a firefox devotee. unfortunately I still have to use firefox for some sites that do not work in opera, mainly due to graphics issues (pages with sections missing in opera, think its to do with flashplayer running in win7 x64). If only these issues could be sorted, I would be happy.

dotnetnightmare & Phat Esther just look at their other comments..... btw new version 10.60 maked new steps. Firefox now can add some new futures from Opera, just like they do it in previous time. Smart fast and flexy. Browser is one but M2 , Opera mail client is another great future in this browser

Always trust the opinion of those who can't SPELL. This software is flawed and that is a fact. I test software on a daily basis. If you think this is good then review it on it's merits and not by trying to belittle me. GREAT people talk about IDEAS, BIG people talk about THINGS, LITTLE people talk about PEOPLE. **UPDATED** This IS related to Flash Plugin and IS confirmed on their SUPPORT FORUM. Opera crashes, locks up, & other bugs. Opera also says that these BUGS are reproducible but happen randomly on the same Flash based site. Overall this is an impressive improvement upon speed and in truth I would use this as my default browser if I could live without youtube, hulu, & all my favorite porn sites. Fastest Browser! Not FLASH ready yet! All my reviews are honest and based upon facts. I may embellish, but I try to say it LIKE IT IS.

@ dotnetnigtmare I tried to replicate your so-called" bug. Guess what ? It could not be repeated. When you close Opera, it closes the video. Just normal behavior... I encourage anyone to try not only Opera but also your alleged failure. It will give people an opportunity to appreciate your credibility, or skills... Most of "computer issue" are simply due to a "nightmare" somewhere between the keyboard and the chair. Opera 10.60 final works like a charm until now.

I too have that problem with IPlayer. My problem extends even further, if I close Opera with IPlayer still loaded Opera does not close down, only discover some time later when I try to launch Opera, and get that message telling me another version of Opera is running. Need to use the task manager to end it and launch Opera a second time. That was a major gripe for me and it is now my fourth browser of choice after Chrome, Firefox and IE8.

This browser is the fastest thing I have ever tried. I love how you can change the background image on the speed dial. The Opera turbo actually works!! Honestly I don't like name of it. But that is the ONLY thing I dislike about this web browser. It's awesome! You should really try it out, if you haven't tried it out yet!
