Fast, Fun, Easy (or rather, as hard as you make it), Great Out-of-the-Box-Functionality, Free running Widgets, Quality Add-ons. Slight lacks in Safety, Customization, and Compatibility Faster than Chrome on my system (Granted, the margin between them is small.....very small, and if Chrome wasn't sandboxed by default it might blow on by). They have freed up Widgets, making them independent desktop apps, also bundle in WebDev features (Dragonfly), File Sharing(Opera Unite), Browser Synch(Opera Synch), Malicious URL blocking, and more. I've used Firefox basically since its birth, and though I can't make Opera as safe as my Firefox, I still love the total package. Continue to be amazed by the number of people who have never heard of Opera, or just dismiss it for lack of popularity. If you are still dial-up, try Opera for sure. You can instantly dumb-down any web page, then turning on Opera Turbo (yet another built-in, loads then condenses and sends web page to you, using less bandwidth), you may find slow connection less of a problem.

I found a bug in opera :when i customize appereance and add some buttons to address bar OR ADD PROXY LIST TO QUICK PREFS the lable for saving passwords at top of page dont appear correctly (only white field displayed) in old versions(9.X) WAND SAVING AREA HAD DISPLAYED IN SEPERATE AREA IN CENTER POF PAGE AND ALL WAS WELL. MY SCREEN RESOLUTION IS 600*800.I TESTED OTHER SCREEN RESOLUTIONS. WHEN I INCREASED SCREEN RES IT'S SECTION APEARS BUT NOT COMPLETELY(ONLY HALF OF SECTION).

Fast, does not crash, speed dial, built in notepad, mouse gestures, add-in dictionary, neat and efficient. Not found any, except perhaps there are one or two awkward web sites which necessitate setting Opera's cookie settings to zero privacy before their pages will work properly, Can't understand how anybody manages to have problems installing or using this browser.

Love the speed, Opens pages fast. There are sites/Games that it will not open. Myspace/MOBSTER. It hangs and some times crash. I have used Opera for a long time and 10.5+ is the only one that will not open the games in MYSPACE. It will hang everytime. Some time is crash all together.Love the browser but could this be fixed.

It's pretty irrelevant how fast Opera Browser is, if the screen sits there & flashes & flickers at you when you set Windows' Mail as the default mail program, then attempt to send a link by e-mail on WinVista Home Premium SP2. Then Opera Browser must be uninstalled before Windows' Mail can be used with any web browser because each time you click on Windows' Mail, Opera Browser opens until it's uninstalled, then all is well once again. I sure don't want to attempt to use Opera Mail since Opera Browser doesn't work.

Slightly faster than other browsers though rarely noticeably so. Widgets provide some limited extensibility, the interface is beautiful and adequately functional. Voice control. Lacks anything that makes it particularly special. Menus are convoluted and messy. Browser options are extensive without offering the level of control that the competition provides. Arguably, the team at Opera developed into the browser many of the features that make other browsers so great. In my opinion however, the organizations that took these Opera innovations have made them significantly more functional. The level of security and history of innovation however may make this a good choice although it will never be more than a secondary browser for me.

fast evenmore not the fastest, at least little bellow chrome, lot of feature, smart memory management (if u open multiple tab), need memory little than firefox and chrome, more little if u minimized them, little files (about 5 mb) to download dont have add on as much as firefox for exampe;flashgot, not the fastes browser ,not so powerfull if u use to save web page with image (not easy like chrome did) simple, lot of fun to use (with shortcut and mouse gesture), still fast, and portable version very helpfull Updated on May 30, 2010

Full-fledged internet suite with email, IRC chat, excellent social-networking integration, and good emphasis on development Very fast, even on dial-up Attractive and unique visual display; minimalistic while still functional Stable Not compatible with a lot of websites, mostly Microsoft ones Independent widgets can take up a lot of space under Start Menu (fortunately, there's a hack for that) Many settings have to be changed from the config files instead of the browser I started using Opera a few months ago, and am hooked. I transitioned over from IE to Opera in three days, and I rarely use anything else, even at school! Many complain of Opera's poor support for add-ons. Not true-Opera has add-ons (Link, Unite, Turbo, Widgets), and they're all many people will ever need anyway. Opera is quick, minimalistic, and feature packed. It's the Google Chrome for people who don't use Google. Opera is more attractive, comes with everything included (great for people on dial-up), and often performs just as well as Chrome on many benchmark tests (Peacekeeper, Sunspider, Acid3). Bottom line: if you're not big on add-ons and you don't use Google, Opera is for you. It also has a top-notch portable version that has outperformed portable Firefox in every area. It's wonderful for browsing on a slow connection.

Not much to say but a little stylish Too much to say about its disadvantages but from wh,ere to start. _nothing_ i can think of I was using opera for 6 years now. The newest version crashes all the time, at totally random events, like opening a new tab, scrolling down, even pausing a youtube video! With 60+ tabs open, 10.53 gets _very_slow_, and consumes _loads_ of memory! For your sake, skip 10.53, and wait for another release!

looks good SLOW! WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THAT THIS IS FASTER THAN FIRE FOX? this version is slower than ie8. i have used older versions of opera and was really impressed. but this version.....no good. with Firefox you double click and your there. with this version of opera you double click,get up, go get a glass of water and then it will be ready. no its not my system,im using a HP D530 with high speed internet,PROCESS LASSO PRO, 86%free space on drive c . very fast machine. but opera brings it to a crawl. older versions of opera are better...stick with those. try it for your self and you will see.

Very fast, loads noticably faster than Google chrome on almost all websites. Has excellent bookmark sorting and organizing capabilities. Has "drag and drop" tabs & windows. Rarely locks up. Speed dial is excellent. Has useful text save feature. Slightly quirky on a few websites that I use. Version 10.53 seems to have fixed most of these issues, however. I would like to see a better way to move between tabs in full screen view. You would be remiss if you did not at least try this browser. It is very fast and loaded with features. F11 key lets you toggle between full screen and window view. The notes feature lets you be very flexable in saving text from various websites and organizing them.

seems fast, many untried features so far ( perhaps too many for first time user ) I find it hard to keep up with it and make my choices. Unable to open justin.tvI have to give it much more time to know it better. I found it fast as promised but not quite a stable as others. Mine tended to crash and I don't know why unless it tried to store sometning on my " C " drive which is full.

Even safari now supports extensions. I guess opera is just too busy "innovating" with all of these "useful" features such as built-in torrent support, opera unite, opera turbo and speed dial. Way to go opera! http://www.engadget.com/.../apple-release-safari-5/ It appears the only thing really holding opera back, minus their ever convenient "security" concerns, is opera software themselves.

Very fast opening pages, everything is built in no messing around with extensions that may not work. Has mouse gestures sidebar Panels & numerous other features as standard. Great full screen with F2 to open a url box & Ctrl B opens bookmarks. Hard to think of anything , the built in Mail is pretty good but i prefer something simpler for my needs. The fastest browser with the most features is less than 10 MB to download . The only browser with Turbo mode to speed up slow connections. The only browser that lets you have the tool bars where you want.
