This FINAL is more like a beta. It is fast, when it feels like being fast. It hangs without fully loading some pages that other browsers fly through. It looks good, but I do not feel like fiddling with it and future fix releases to browse the web. I really did give it a good running around with, but, Chrome IS faster and Firefox is my current browser, and it will stay that way. Why this is the final release with so MANY nagging bugs baffles me. Are they trying to paint a less than adequate picture of their browser ? Or was it rushed for some Microsoft ballot agenda? Give it a try... you will probably go back to their 10.10 version or stick to your Chrome / Firefox. For fanbois only I am afraid!

Opera is not so hot if you can't get it to work!!

"10.5 is awesome!" FAST FAST FAST! Great interface, the tabs and address bar is just small, and the thing is really nice to use. I still feel like Firefox and IE run everything perfectly, with never any problems, while other browsers occasionally have there probs.

I like the way they organize their browser. You decide what you want in you browser. Which allows you to have as little as possible so that it runs faster than most. The adds are great and I actually use them. None. I have used many other browsers and evaluate the way they operated. Most are so heavy with information that they are snails. Others cause more error messasge everytime you use them. Some just CRASH. OPERA does none of this. The way it operates is very fluid. Have yet to receive and error msg while using it. It a browser doesn't work right, you won't see it on my computer. And if you do it's because it came with the OS. I have read about how great some of these browsers are, but in fact they don't work very well. I sugguest that you try several and pick the best one that works for you. I recommend Opera.

"The Fastest and Most Feature-Rich" Blazing speed that beats all others, great features like a built-in email client, mouss gestures, the best speed dial and sidebar, visual tabs, extreme customizability. not a thing There is nothing you could want from a browser that Opera 10.5 won't do.

i updated from 10.10 to 10.50 last night and it appeared good at first glance. the speed was fast! its memory went up to 170MB some times but most time it uses 40-50MB. its general response was also fast. however, there are also severe problems. for one, it doesn't like to download any executables, not from this site, not even from opera's own website. in addition, the custom menu i put in since opera 6 or 7 suddenly stopped working. for example, one the menu item can open the current webpage in firefox, but in this version of opera, the firefox started up but not showing the webpage it suppose to show. overall, i like the performance of this version, but like many people said, this should be a beta, not good enough for a stable release.

Holly cow! Opera is smoking now. This is a winner and very stable. Super functions and safety built in. I may have to abandon Chromium to second fiddle. This is a great browser.

Installed on two separate PC's. It will not play videos or clips from IMDB. Opera 10.10 worked fine, as does FF or Chrome. Reported as a bug.

There are many browsers installed on my computer, but one of them is simply the best and is clear winner. That is Opera. These days, browser is one of the "start-up" applications and spending great deal of time using it, means that you have to use the best, the most secure and the fastest. Well done Opera team.

@Vimes: You use Fanboy's Adblock List are you? Is a bug of that not Opera, if you delete the urlfilter.ini file, all work fine again.

"A fantastic browser that delivers what it promises." The browser is fast, addictive and is simply superb. I've tried Safari, Firefox, Chrome.. Everything, but was disappointed with their security standards. Believe me, if you are in the industry for as long as I am, you will stick to Opera. None that I can think of really, except for the fact that I cannot directly access speedial!!! Wish they will include that button in future, or else I will still stick to this.

"Looks Great But Eats RAM" Fantastic Functionality and Interface, has really ironed-out incompatibility problems Hogs RAM like it never did before and like no other popular browser does Oh dear. I have always been a fan of what Opera were trying to do and was excited to download the latest version. It looks fantastic and in isolation it ticks all the boxes. Fast as lightening and all the old issues about compatibility seem to hav... read more >>

"slow to open." I like having my 6 favorite sites there when Oper does come up. Saves hunting for sites in favorites. slow to come up, Some sites don't come up under Opera, just sit there with a white screen and hourglass forever.

"Great brower, very stable, fast, customizable" - Fast launch - Fast browsing - Customization - Stable - Few resources - Clean UI - Left/Right side tabs, good for widescreen displays - No support from some developers like Google (i.e. Google Toolbar) - Can't assign Speed Dial as Home Page - No scroll bar for tabs I've always used Firefox as my main browser... when I upgraded to version 3.6, some problems started to show up. First, slowdowns when caching a flash media. This one wasn't that much of a problem. The main reason why I dismissed Firefox was this in... read more >>

I had switched to opera from firefox and all was well with the world. Then I upgraded to 10.5 and I cannot believe they have released such a buggy product. It is impossible to log into ebay it keeps reloading the log on screen and I have never had a browser crash so much at least 4 times an hour. I have NEVER had any browser with so many failings. Why did they release this it's awful. I hope they get it sorted soon as I don't want to go back to firefox and Chrome isn't an option!

Truly faster and straight to the point. Too many icons instead of normal menus with wordings? I used Firefox for 2 years and Internet Explorer for 3 years before that. I tried Google Chrome and a few others including previous versions of Opera. After using this for a while now, I can say safely that this Opera version is King of browsers at this point and time. Just wish it had the traditional wordings in the menu instead of too many icons to remember.....still a really good solid stable browser and had no problems with my avast or other software.
