Nice complex, well thought-out, balanced Opera fanboy reviews sandwich mine's ... & two below: Yahoo site blamed for Opera not interfacing well with it(same often said for parts of AOL Music site, as well as sites with Active X) instead of 'the other way around'... why do just about all other browsers NOT suffer from that? Are they ALL wrong & Opera the only one right? Lame coding, disparate standards & security holes abound-- but these are not excuses for Opera: all its competitors have overcome those obstacles for years now-- it's been way more than enough time already for Opera to have stepped up to the plate. This is not saying that Opera doesn't have some useful innovations, but they go to waste because it can't be utilized as a default browser...one has to switch browsers for some sites-- that wouldn't be so bad IF all browsers utilized the same cookie, history, links, faves, pw, autofill, autocomplete locations & standards. This is why Opera's future is limited, cloudy, destined to remain a niche product for a niche audience segment... until & unless it changes course. No sane business would ever even consider Opera in a work environment.

I've been using opera 9.25 on my LG E500(new). It started out just fine, but as time went on opera, as in the past versions became buggy and unstable. It often crashes, for example, when bringing up Gmail on screen. My secondary browser is Netscape navigator and it's far more stable. One would think that Opera would be as solid as a rock after all these years. But, once again it has proven to fade after a fast start. Therefore, I'm truly weary of even trying 9.50.

i find opera very easy to use and easily customizable when you can figure it out. it has nearly all the features that you need extensions for in firefox standard and is web standards compliant. if something is broken it's not opera's fault, its the web designer's fault for catering to one specific broken browser. i have been using opera since opera 6 and haven't looked back since. i have tried firefox and really, i'm not impressed with it. its a good alternative browser but has none of the functionality out of the box like opera has. what upsets me more is that opera is trying to cater to the firefox user by changing names and shortcuts so they are universal.

Gets better and better! Faster than lightning!!! All latest news, what's new and the builds themselves can be found on Opera's official dev blog: http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/

This build is a little buggy but I'm giving it a 5 to offset the 2 idiots (ff fanboys no doubt) who give this a 1. There is no way in hell this piece of software is a 1!! Opera has been for me: The safest browser The fastest browser Very lightweight The most feature rich Very customizable All of these things are straight out of the box. No need for countless extentions that break build after build to get the same functions that Opera comes with already Hey, if you prefer something more of a memory hog and sloooow, then you should look elsewhere but if you want a browser that is fast, secure and lightweight then you will love Opera

This is one of the best browsers you can use. I do not know where the previous user read imap will be limited, but anyway I do reccommend Opera for browsing, not for email. Talking about browsing it is faster than anything I saw and safer than any other browser, if that is not enough, it has tons of features: Gestures, blocking system and speed dial worth. Did I mention it is faster than any other browser even when all the functionality buit in? 6/5

This is an Alpha! Still full of bugs. The history search feature broken a few builds before still hasn't been fixed. And it seems that if reports are correct, IMAP features are going to be limited in future releases. Now tell me this a good browser.

Been using Opera since version 2x, just keeps getting better like fine wine. THe latest Kestrel is fast. I use Opera for my mail client as well and its exceptionally good in that. Those who rate Opera poor don't know what to expect from a browser. They are hooked on bloat and hype.

2 guys below this post, with score of 1 are retards. no doubt about it. I have been using opera since ver.6, firefox since early alpha, ie for long, painfully long time, safari, netscape, etc. I actually tried almost all browsers on 3 different platforms (windows, linux, max), since I'm a computer engineer and had to do market benchmarking. Opera is by FAR the best browser out there. Yes, it doesn't support some websites, which were written for ie bugs(yes, bugs). That's it. Everything else is superb.

@Point Zero + Jacoblm Either you 2 havent tried opera or you are both mentally retarded. People have installed this browser AND tested it AND given it a decent review, are you calling them all idiots???

New version, 9.26 is out today for those of you complaining about stability and other issues in a BETA release.
Rated 50/50 by Diam0nd at Feb 22, 2008
Opera - my religion ;| FASTEST browser around. That's what I appreciate the most. P.S. I just loooove when them mofos using FF come here and rate opera one, which means that it is the worst possible. Is it really worst or u just dont like it that much? Bunch of dumb-ass wannabies.
Rated 40/50 by fuhayer at Feb 23, 2008
i downloaded and compared this to FF3b3 and regret to say FF3B3 is faster than this in anyway ! whoever says this is the fastest browser must check FFb3 and then must leave comment here. i like opera but cuz usability and speed, i use FF now.

Been using 9.5 since the beta, personally not noticed any real problems, a few niggles here and there that change as bugs get fixed and then created elsewhere (as with all beta software) On the whole, fast, very stable (for me), does almost what I want it to (real stumbleupon support PLEASE!) Does need any additional extensions like Firefox does for me (usually have 10 or so with FF) Interface works, never felt the desire to skin it - it's good enough for me. STILL trying to find a skin on FF that I like and find useable. I use FF sometimes (for Stumbling mostly) but Opera for everything else: about 95% of the time. Great browser, great performance, and for me... just and essential bit of software. But please Opera: release this soon.. it'e been beta for what seems like forever!
