The fastest browser. Great and highly recommended

Working flawlessly. It's fast and stable.

Great browser, the best for install ang go. With Firefox you need to install several addons to make it work close to Opera. Latest FF beta is almost as fast as Opera, but Opera already has almost all I need included, tested and working. Only lacks a better ad blocker (it has one, but you have to manually block content) and a spell checker.

This is what i call speeeeed! Incoming 9.50 will rock the web

Rated 40/50 by fuhayer at Jan 5, 2008

please do not exaggerate by saying FF even cannot come close. i used the latest versions of opera and FF and for me FF 1 step ahead. i liked opera but FF more convenient to surf on net.

I think i've developed a compulsive behaviour disorder by obsessively checking for these updates.

DO NOT GET THIS BETA VERSION!!! Bookmark bug is fixed, but downloads are completely mutilated. The whole system is screwed over. The Opera forums are flooded with complaints with users, but the opera devs haven't fixed it yet. 1 star until it gets fixed. 5 stars when it's fixed.

Faster and more lightweight than Firefox.

Rated 40/50 by fuhayer at Jan 11, 2008

not bad, but prefer FF which is faster and friendly.

Can't live without it. Can't browse without it. WAY faster than FF!

Rated 50/50 by alanpalmer at Jan 11, 2008

Downloads in build 9721 worked without any issues for me. Anyway, a new build is out now, which hopefully fixes the problems some were having. The bookmarks bug that stisev refers to was fixed several builds ago.

@stisev: All works fine for me with all latest builds under Windows XP and Vista + Fedora.

Anyone who thinks Firefox is faster or more lightweight than Opera simply has not used Opera. Opera uses less than half the RAM, has an insane amount of features, and yet no bloat. Every good Firefox feature already exists in Opera, long before Firefox copied it.

simply the best browser! mutch better tahn firefox

i use firefox and opera simultaneously my #1 tipp of the day for opera customization: delete search.ini and add a directory named "seach.ini" to the installation folder. so you get rid of the default seach engines (ebay amazon.com) and installation wont be able to add them again. just keep your custom seach.ini file in profile directory. here is a list of pros and cons that are on top in my mind: opera advantages: + faster & more convenient/intuitive in most routine tasks like window management; adding/changing searchengines. type F2 for adressbar and search bar (keywords) + history + bookmarks seach in one box. this dropdown thing will stay unmached by any FF extention, performance wise. + links panel is better than FF linky extention in FEW situations (should have support for regular expressions and save a history). + customizing toolbars & co is verry easy. everyone can learn to edit ini files or the skins. + better sidebar+bookmarks management (much more responsive and accessible) + vertical tabs on the right side. more toolbar flexibility in generall. + no matter how much useless features they add (like mail/chat/torrent) opera becomes more performant, not more bloated. supperior programming style, like utorrent. +better zooming +better toggling of javascript/plugins/cookies etc with custom buttons. one button can do many things at once. you dont have to code pages of java script to get some realy smart buttons. opera disadvantages -there will allways be one or two bugs that are actually really bugging, if you stay with latest builds. -no rectangular selection, no html copy. --- firefox advantages + more reliable on some fancy heavy sites + cool menu features (dragndrop of bookmakrs into a prescise menu position, right click, deleting ...) + linky extention better than opera's links panel in most situations. + toogle toolbar visibility based on mouse hoover + some very unique and usefull addons, no doubt. + better management of us

@ fuhayer so you don't like opera and think firefox is a step ahead becasue when you open a new tab it takes you to that tab and you do not like that, is that correct? perhaps you have not seen the options directly below "open in new tab" that says "open in background tab." so 5 starts for opera, as it is fast and very easy to use and has all the features i need. anyone who can read a drop down menue will love this browser! :)

Rated 30/50 by fuhayer at Jan 18, 2008

to : poundsmack of course not only for that "open tab in background". but also for speed. i tested both of opera beta and FF beta many times on same sites and found that FF is faster. i like opera GUI but have to use FF cuz speed and lightening. anyone if able to test technically then would be glad to see the result in rates. but in my eyes FF is 1 steap ahead. BTW; can we change the speed dial column and rows ?

Opera rocks. The Adblocker is just as configurable as any firefox add-on, and does not add to bloat.. Right click on a page, click Block Content, change the filter to suit, if you want to include wildcards, you can..
