Winamp finally fixed the portable usb media device indexing problem [it was high time they fixed that]. The portable media device index fix removed the ability to rename a device in winamp.Indexing of media files on a USB flash drive is frustratingly slow and there is no progress indicator!

I use Winamp just for listening music. And it handles that perfectly! I find the browser useless. Video playing isn't so good (I recommend VLC for video/movie watching). Absolutely amazing. Definately best music player so far, no doubt.

It was over six years ago I was introduced to this player and have enjoyed the many upgrades. Cons, well yes, how many upgrades can there be? I have nothing but prase for this poduct

Great skins R available. Easy installation. No compatible issues. Great visuallations. I have no "cons" for this player. I use the free version and am very satisfied. This player will play more than WMP.

LOADS QUICKLY(WITH DEFAULT THEME)UNLIKE VLC,IT READS MEDIA FILES PROPERLY DOESN'T READ ALL TYPES OF FILES(I KNOW IT DOESN'T READ MP4) I PREFER IT TO VLC,A GOOD MEDIA PLAYER,BUT DON'T INSTALL ANY VERSION HIGHER THAN 5.55 OR IT'S CREATE TREE DESKTOP SHORTCUTS

I have used this program along side Windows Media player for over six years and find they work perfectly well together. Can find no cons with this program. WinAmp works well alongside Windows Media; I have used these programs alongside each other for over six years and have enjoyed using them.

Its a all in one pice of software. You can do every thing with it and the price is great. THe only thing it can not do is burn blue ray disks. If you want an all in one programe winamp is the best.

I have not used it much in order to give it a more complete review. Maybe it still needs a bit of polishing up. Haven't used it long enough to give more details.

It has many options to listen music, radios, video, etc. It reads most audio and video formats.The Media library is well organized, Bookmarks, History, Most played, Recently played, etc. Some online radios don't work (Shout Cast or AOL) It's a very good software, estable and with good functionalities.
