There are free video downloaders, and free video converters, but having it all in one is very nice. (Ironically, I received this program for free from Giveawayoftheday.com) :P

"Can't download anything." Haven't noticed any Everything it can download can be copied from the cache of your browser. You can use freeware products that are much better. Useless program. Stay away from it. Use freeware software or something better like Replay Media Catcher or Jaksta

"not to high" that it's a utility for video and mp3 downloads I believe. the videoget wouldn't download or function as I had been led to believe.. I installed and re-installed it several times without success.. I run xp pro without incident.. time and patience aren't on my side to waist without cooperation from useless programs.. perhaps one day it would be noncritical, but not today..

- Some videos were downloaded while the application was taken for a test run. - Peaceful downloader without any nagware or pop-up crappola. - Easy to install/un-install. - Can experience erratic operational behavior. - Inconsistant download capabilities due to a moderate interface mechanism. - Does not address cache or sockets level stream management. For a friendly streaming video downloader that is as polite to the client as it is to the server this tool is a 4 star deal. Many like minded tools nag or pop-up junk all over your system or are simply a registry hack's nightmare. This DM for online video is definitely novice oriented in design and hopefully in concept. At the moment it presents a decent capacity to become a competent solution for such a requirement but, it still isn't what the power user wants to believe. It's an honest effort worthy of praise but, know up front it is a starting point product and neads much refinement through ernest development. There are far worse tools in this arena so, I make take no hesitation in stating that I enjoyed it while I used it. It is worth the four stars in my opinion due to the fact that the developer(s) aren't fool of themselves but, rather trying their hand at some serious dev concerning network resources accessibilty and raw management. Keep up the good work.

"Good overall" Wide variety of file formats available. Only works with a good, but limited number of web sites. I have yet to find another program that's better

"Doesn't do anything." Cute icon. I can't get it to do anything, or maybe I just don't understand the operational properties, or just maybe it doesn't work with Windows 7. Of all the times I tried to capture a video, it didn't seem to do anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled and installed the newer version. Nothing works.

"Man this is awesome!!!!!!!!" It allows you to download videos from over 850+ sites (including adult sites, :D). The overall gui and interface could do a little cleanup. GO BUY IT NOW AND YOU WONT REGRET IT, I KNOW I DIDNT!

Awkward program with an awkward interface and a home page with a poor reputation. Does have a lot of options for encoding, though. The DownloadHelper extension for Firefox does this free, and I like the way it detects and handles streaming video MUCH better. Don't pay for this.

Captures single video on website up to 5 times a day during trial. During trial it will only allow 5 videos a day, but if you have ads going on it will capture those as well, and proclaim that you have had your 5 captures for the day. Because of the 5 download limit I could not effectively evaluate this product and I will not spend a dime until I am completely sure it will download from one place in particular. I have used riptiger on another computer and it doesn't work on the one site I really wanted. Video get seems to do it, but it captures everything on the page, so I am not sure if it will work from the one website I really want it to. Updated on Jun 3, 2010

It downloads the videos and converts them as you wanted without a problem. The GUI can be more elegant. Use it if you are looking for a video downloader (+converter) to download from different websites.
