ProduKey is a small utility that displays the ProductID and the CD-Key of MS-Office, Windows, Exchange Server, and SQL Server installed on your computer. You can view this information for your current running operating system, or for another operating system/computer - by using command-line options. This utility can be useful if you lost the product key of your Windows/Office, and you want to reinstall it on your computer.

Why is my computer trying to send information through the firewall to 194.85.4.131 after running this program? hmmmmm
Rated 30/50 by summers at Feb 11, 2008
The application works as intended. I've just tested it and found out that it doesn't connect to any IP. Perhaps MadRat should scan his PC for trojans.

Did not read my Vista key. Just gave all B's

Phhssstt!! Another one!? Christ there's like a dozen tiny utilities that ALREADY do this. I hate it when coders habitually re-invent the wheel when they could be using their programming skills to write OTHER useful programs that DON'T already exist a dozen times over. One star for zero originality. P.S. I sh*t myself laughing at "PRO Dookey" haha! I made my own pro dookie with that one! :D :D :D

hey c4p0ne, are you an idiot? Produkey has been out for YEARS, it's those other utilities that you should be dissing. Freaking web noob!
Rated 50/50 by Artem Tashkinov at Feb 15, 2008
Most reviewers who gave this software less than 5 mark are morons, 'cause this utility is small, free as a beer and bloat free. Besides it's been here for years! NirSoft really rocks - I suggest visiting his web-site 'cause there are plenty other very useful utilities for your every day computer usage.

"It did most of what it said it would." It was fast and easy to download and use. It didn't find all the software keys in my computer.

Nice one. Works great. Think the author should better mask the screenshot not to get in trouble for posting his own keys ;-)

Nirsoft.net has been identified by ZoneAlarm Pro as a potential spyware site! Beware of the word "FREE"!! Somehow, some way you end up paying for it!!!

This message is from the author, Nir Sofer, to all of you. nirsoft.net Web site owner comments (1) All the utilities in my web site are free from any Trojan, Virus, Spyware, or any other malicious code. Unfortunately, many Antivirus programs (including McAfee) detect my password recovery tools as Trojans or Viruses, probably just because they may be used by hackers for stealing passwords. For more information about "False Positive" problems with my utilities: http://www.nirsoft.net/false_positive_report.html

It works.

Works perfectly. I keep this handy tool in my portable applications collection on my thumb drive. Also, the author is correct. Programs that pull software keys can be flagged as "bad" on some sites because of potential for misuse, even though they are doing no harm to the user. EXAMPLE: The library has a public computer with MS Office installed. A naughty person wants to steal the Office license keys for personal use. This would be a good reason for security software to block such a program.
