"LAME SOFTWARE!" NOT ONE THING! No live streaming at all, better off going to YouTube that all this is anyway. Do not waste your time, you be better off off going to http://wwitv.com there you can get live feeds.

Takes a little time to understand the program logic, but once mastered the features become very nice, like full screen HD, download and "take video with you" to watch when you want. I choose many downloads and let the computer download while I sleep Takes some time to learn, but well worth the effort Has the most extenseive and accessable videos and podcasts I have ever seen, many downloads with high intellectual level, very mixed programs in many languages. I download English and Russian podcasts that are excellent and have cut my tv watching down to almost nothing. AND, no commercials, or very little that can often be ignored at the end of the program. Very nice overall package, but one must "invest" some time into understand how this program works. Have become a regular subscriber to "Mobile Classroom" that I found on Miro, which has been a tremendous add for free software and must special websites that I would have never found; this included a tip to go to Glary utilities to fix my registry on my 1 year old desk top. This website requires higher IPS downloading ability to use more effectively, and if you are running good, clean DSL with new processors and good RAM it is then quite fast at even multiple downloading. Also, the ability to save in playlists is impressive. Frankly, I am suprised that this has such a low "user" rating. I thi that there are just not enough people turned on yet. AND, its free !

It can download torrent files Extremely bulky & ram eater. Download are never really fast. The newest update of Miro comes with an adware and a browser hijacker and installs Bing toolbar without giving you an option to uncheck. It will also change your home page to Miro start page. If you have an antispyware program that monitors such activity, then you should be fine. Bing toolbar still got installed but I uninstalled it manually and restarted the browser. Scan your computer afterward if you must install the latest version. Just be careful. I hate toolbars that install themselves with programs and browser hijackers are unforgivable. Rats!

"Nice interface and features but not so fast" as stated by many of the other reviewers, the interface is nice. IT is intuitive and the video is clear. It is not very fast to load, but that could also be an issue with Vista (I am so cursed). It will not load my Netflix account. It freezes the system when I am streaming online video while downloading. This could be Vista again though. Overall I like it, though I wouldn't recommend it for ppl who are not comfortable with recovering from freezes and lite troubleshooting.

New version is nice and clean, and seems to load up a lot faster. I had stopped using this for a while because I just began to use the Boxee alpha for video podcast catching/viewing, but the new Boxee beta doesn't yet support adding feeds (they're working on it), so I came back to Miro, which I've always liked anyway. @SBMongoos: See my tips in the "Discussions" link for this app above and reply there if you still can't get it to work. I'll try to help you out.

This is not a review of the program. It is free,,, But so are a bazillion other media players, and most of them work fine, except.... We desperately need a free media player that can play Blu-Ray movies, since with paid apps like PowerDVD, you have to buy a new version every time the standard is changed, and it has already undergone 3 revisions. Please tell us if it handles BD movies if you are going to claim a program provides, "one-stop shopping for all your video needs."

Love it! They fixed the crash lingering since Vista and it runs very smooth and snappy now. My choice for watching Diggnation, Tekzilla and other shows. No cons.

I've never been quite fond of podcasts and so on, but that was until Miro. I have to admit that this application is incentive to a cool approach and handling of video (and audio) on the Web. Totally intuitive, elegant, fast. I've discovered channels of all sorts, this is a real passport to pleasure.

Ease of use is very good. Some of my needs cannot be fulfilled with this product.

-It compiles a broad array of entertainment into one application.-It can play a variety of formats -The 'REPORT a BUG' uses an invalid site certificate. Usually sign of malfeasance-Miro uses an inherently insecure IE8 engine.-No script block plug-in-No flashblock plugin-Spam is rampant This application is great for pod casts but DO NOT use it for playing online video or visiting sites to catch up on your TV viewing. It is better to use a secured browser like Firefox with Flashblock and Script block installed. Miro will not even block pop-ups. You are going back to the late 90's where websites got free reign, the was no site certificates and web pages could crash your browser regularly.I ***GUARANTEE*** you will catch mal-ware while using this product to watch online videos.

If you're on Windows 7, who can tell. Doesn't work on Windows 7 - you'd think they'd solve that by now!

easy to use, does hd right, handles torrent files, slick ui, fast, audio and video podcasts, plays any video formats you'll come across, free I didn't notice any. The best free podcast player/manager I've ever used. It's worth the download.
