My 7 yr old daughter loves it. She's even teacher her 3 year old sister how to play with it too! I have recommended this to my 3 yrs old preschool and day care. the sound effects can be a bit annoying but it doesn't seem to bother my daughters. that's all that matters. It's kid safe, easy for kids to navigate them through, it's not just some dumb game but actually develops their artistic skills, keeps them entertained in a very healthy way. What's not to like about it?

the variety of things you can do and the effects you can create nothing to not like loads of features and effects makes this an excelent program and it is realy simple to use even for my 7 year old and you can save and print your pictures which i did not expect to be able to do

Me, as a parent was quite amused with it and played around it. Nothing wrong with this product. Probably quite addictive as I can't get my children off the computer:-)

"Our 5 year old grandson approves." Lots to try & easy for our 5 year old to demonstrate his mouse skills. A bit slow to start.

"Grabs grandsons interest in creating a picture" Has started a 4 year old drawing instead of just scribbling Whats not to enjoy when it comes for free Good to get grandchildren drawing but grandparents could do with more instructions on how to use the software

"Two thumbs up, Entertaining for young aspiring artists" Playful, simple controls. Easy for my 4-year old to figure out. Provides a wide array of special effects to make impressive artwork. Fixed window and canvas size. Does not even allow window resizing. With only one minor "con" and no pricetag, there's no reason not to get this.

"my grandaughter loves tuxpaint" the paint is great i dont know how you do it my grandkids love to paint with it when they come over. I cant find nothing bad about it, as long as i dont get a virus from it, its perfect.

Tux paint is a great program that kids can use to paint. It has a lot of nice features to it and a great design. Easy for kids to use. My four year old nephew can work it just fine and he loves it. You can save a photo and print with Tux Paint. Free. No cons really. No spyware. The program runs great. I'm happy that I downloaded it. Tux paint is a great program for kids (and for adults if your bored) it has lots of features. It's cute. You can save the drawings you make, you can print. You can add text, you can erase easily and do lots of cool stuff. My four year old nephew will play on it for hours. This program is also used at some Libraries for kids to use. I love everything about this program. It works perfectly and has no spyware and no flaws that I know about. Veyr nice program, worth downloading.

Easy download, easy to work with, lots of fun stamps for the kids, and the magic wand is a great tool. the sound for the save request, needs a different sound, something the kids can understand, and something the adults can change every now and then. I could not believe that this was a free program. The things you can do with this is great. My grand kids love it. I even found myself playing around with it......This is by far the best freeware i have ever downloaded from the internet. More stamps would be great along with more sounds. A section just on dinosaurs would be great. Thank you Tux paint.....i have also downloaded Tux Typing and Math but have not played with them as of yet. If you have kids and or grand kids this is the program for you.

Very colorful, Lots of options, FREE, Kids love it and so do I. So much better than windows paint. I cant figure out where my files are saved so I can save as a windows background. When I first downloaded this program and used it I was totally hyped! This is a great program, far better than regular windows paint. It is exciting to discover all the technics this program has to offer. I love it and so do my Godchildren. A+ all the way

My kids are having lots and lots of fun and that is the most important factor to me. None so far. If you have kids get it! Full stop.
