POP Peeper 3.7

POP Peeper by Mortal Universe Software Entertainment Screenshot POP Peeper Screenshot

POP Peeper is an email notifier that runs in your Windows task bar and alerts you when you have new email on any of your POP3, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, or RediffMail accounts. Send mail using your SMTP server or through your webmail account directly from POP Peeper. It supports HTML email, so you can see your email the same way as you would in your email client. Several options are available that will decrease or eliminate the risks of reading your email (viruses, javascript, webbugs, etc). If you share your computer, you can password-protect your accounts or password-protect access to POP Peeper.

"The best ever mail program sinse switching to Win 7" Fast mail retrieval, great features, easy to set up.. Get it now !!!! None that I have found I used GMail up until running across this program, this far out-does GMail. I won't be going back to the other as long as I have POP Peeper

This thing is great. Notifies you of new mail for multiple email accounts with an animated tray icon and optionally by playing a sound file. Works with Webmail, POP, IMAP and you can even send mail with SMTP. It's like a micro email client. Only one thing I would like added to this program. When you mouse over the tray icon it would be nice if it showed which account the new mail was in, instead of just telling you how many new mails you have. Overall, this is great for those who just want to be notified when they have new mail. That's what it's built for and that's what it excels at. Even though it has the ability to send mail through SMTP, it's not really a fleshed out client. It'll do in a pinch, but it's really better to just use this to alert you when you have mail and then head to your webmail account though your browser and take care of business. You can even set a custom URL for it to send you to when you double-click the tray icon. If you don't want to use webmail you should get a real client and have it alert you. But if you do use webmail, this is gold.

Pop Peeper lets you keep track of all of your email accounts from your desktop. A small quibble: If you read email with Pop Peeper, it may not show as read in the actual email account. Occasionally a free program comes along that's really useful. With Pop Peeper you can manage all of your email accounts from your desktop. Email accounts can be color coded, and you can read email within Pop Peeper itself. It loads fast at boot and uses little system resources. If you don't like Windows Messenger and Gmail Notifier, Pop Peeper is a simple solution.

Use it for my multiple email accounts on Gmail. It works flawlessly and is very fast. Had some configurations complications but managed to correct them. A winner.

It can use and open directly Opera mail as mail client. It uses a continuous bandwidth of about 7-9 KB/s. I monitored it with NetMeter. Closing Pop Peeper showed an immediate drop to 0 kB/s. Had to disinstall cause I use a mobile USB connection with limited traffic.

wealth of options. ability to compile all e-mail accounts. ease of use. tray icon does not give user the number of each new mail for each account, like the old eprompter. i would recommend downloading and using the e-mail utility. it does a nice job of compiling each account, however the interface seems dated. on the plus, has ability to compile an infinite number of accounts.

Nice and easy set up. Still need a soft ware that works well with cable, outlook and yahoo all combined together. I would still down load this again even though I cannot send emails out on outlook as of yet.

Quick, easy to setup and use. Perfect for checking my free Netzero, Yahoo & gmail accounts that I only use occasionally. Not real pretty, but it gets the job done. I use some email accounts (instead of disposable accounts) that I don't want to check regularly, and this provides a great way to check them all with almost no effort.

I downloaded this application thinking it would be just another piece of digital crap, mainly because I've installed thousands of applications over the years, and ... oh I'm just spitballing here, but probably 95% of them are crap. However, this is a great application, especially given that it's free. Nice interface, nice customizability, nice everything. In fact, the only thing I need Thunderbird for anymore is when I want to save a message long-term. Other than that, for sending/receiving, this is it.

Although you can view e-mails, it doesn't do anything for Office Outlook. I found it annoying. Have since deleted it. Some one may have a use for it, I did not. All I can say is that it does work.

Once configured, the program works flawlessly and fits seamlessly into my usual workflows. It sometimes has issues with graphics in webmails... but if you know anything about email security, you know this can also be a good thing. :} An excellent tool for managing multiple webmail accounts all around. It's lightweight, unobtrusive, and works perfectly. If you've been using a bulky email manager to handle your webmail accounts, and are unhappy with it, you should definitely give this a try!

I set up POP Peeper to log into msn premium, hotmail, netzero, yahoo and gmail accounts automatically. It lets me choose which account to use for sending messages. I prefer Windows Live for my primary email account. I use POP Peeper to check email accounts that I setup for occasional use, and it means I don't have to forward those accounts. With POP Peeper, I don't have to clutter up Windows Live Mail or log into four different sites. Pop Peeper is quick and simple.

Very neat and fast Nothing yet! Perhaps down the road it will cause a problem but I don't think it will. It is a program that dosn't take up massive amounts of room and does a good job! It's a fine program, wish I had it years ago.
