POP Peeper is an email notifier that runs in your Windows task bar and alerts you when you have new email on any of your POP3, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, or RediffMail accounts. Send mail using your SMTP server or through your webmail account directly from POP Peeper. It supports HTML email, so you can see your email the same way as you would in your email client. Several options are available that will decrease or eliminate the risks of reading your email (viruses, javascript, webbugs, etc). If you share your computer, you can password-protect your accounts or password-protect access to POP Peeper.

"Excellent software," excellent, but does not add anything my current clients do not have except visual notice regardless of what may be going on at the tiime/ Interface display is crude.

Great little program does exactly what it says and saves me lots of time in checking all the email accounts I have. Non really A small word of warning , I recently installed a net meter to monitor how much internet I was downloading. I had pop peeper set to check my mail every minute and to my suprise it uses just over 2 meg everytime it checks my accounts. So mobile broadband users make sure it only checks mail every hour or so.

"The best there is for this purpose" It does everything right - I tried to find a better app for this purpose, with a more polished interface, but POP Peeper just doesn't have worthy competition when it comes to email notifications UI is a bit old and it would definitely benefit much from a facelift Excellent - it's one of the rare programs I let in my Startup applications :)

"Extremely useful and reliable." Shows all spam mails - I once tried another programme that didn't, so I ended up downloading the spam mails after all. Can't think of any! Works beautifully for me even with Vista.

It's low-key and high performance. Generally it does everything I need from a systray email checker. Its looks are a little old-fashioned. Great little program. I do not wish to download my emails to my computer, nor have a larger email program running everytime I would like to know if I have an email. This notifies me directly in my systray, even for multiple accounts with different connection types (POP, IMAP, Hotmail, GMail, etc.).

It's easy to setup, you can even import from main mail clients. You can have a quick overview of all your mail accounts at once or even reply them if you want. You can check GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. It doesn't remove spam and reply mails automatically! LOL! Seriously, none! I started using POP Peeper years ago. At the beginning it was an accident: I was looking for a way to check Hotmail as a POP client and the search results brought me it. I installed and once I saw what it was capable I immediately made it one of my favorite appications. Years passed and it keeps improving... This is not highly recommended - it's a must have if you have more than 2 mail accounts...

"I love it but 3.6 won't install on my Win 7 home prem." A wonderful program but 3.6 refuses to install despite several tries and downloads. Roll on 3.7 and hope for the best. Originally at the end of "new" it referred you back to the list, now it just shows empty, don't know whether this is a 'feature' or a feature!

"GREAT way to catch all your e-mail addresses." Checks my yahoo, aim, pop3 and gmail accounts. In the off chance you have tech difficulties, the forums are actually great, and e-mail to the creator of Pop Peeper will be answered quickly. No spellcheck, but even that isn't much of a con considering how litte memory and system resources this little gem uses. GREAT application. Uses very little system resources. Consolidates all common e-mail accounts, very reliable. I use it on my work computer to monitor my personal accounts.

"Keeps track of your mail boxes" Works with multiple email accounts, can read and reply to mail, can delete mail to save download to main client software. Excellent tool to supplement Outlook, Thunderbird or whatever you use. Nothing really Easy to configure and use, does all that you want in an email monitor, is actively developed and maintained.

"all me email accounts in one place" Easy to install and update. I like how I can colour code the different accounts so I can see at a glance which account has new mail. Sometimes have to manually update it, although its not to difficult to do. Doesn't save copies of sent messages you you have to bcc yourself if you want to keep it. I have this on every computer in my house and I'd have it at work too if they'd let me.
