POP Peeper is an email notifier that runs in your Windows task bar and alerts you when you have new email on any of your POP3, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, or RediffMail accounts. Send mail using your SMTP server or through your webmail account directly from POP Peeper. It supports HTML email, so you can see your email the same way as you would in your email client. Several options are available that will decrease or eliminate the risks of reading your email (viruses, javascript, webbugs, etc). If you share your computer, you can password-protect your accounts or password-protect access to POP Peeper.

I've tried most of the various e-mail checkers out there; this is hands down the best. Happy to see an update; it was overdue!

Superb! I've used for a long time and switched to PopTray (personal taste), but I highly recommend this as well.

I have tried dozens of email notifiers (and PAID for many of them!) and POP Peeper outshines ALL of them! All I wanted was a notifier that will let me view my email without opening my full-blown email client. Some of the others would show "text only" with trashy and unreadable output, others would claim to handle mail in html format but wouldn't or couldn't actually display many (most!) of them. Still others wanted to be spam busters only to eat up MANY good emails that you may or may not be able to recover. Some were bloated email clients with the "notifier" label attached because they couldn't sell them for what they were suppposed to be. In the end, POP Peeper is head and shoulders above all the rest. I can easily view my email and it has a built-in browser that lets me follow links that may be embedded in my email - very convenient! Or, I can just jot a quick reply to a letter. Most of my email can be dispatched very quickly and directly from the mail server. Now I only have to open my regular email client when important correspondence arrives and POP Peeper lets me know that right away. Nice work!

A must for the family email manager! When updating to the latest 3.3.1.0, if some GMAIL or other accounts do not work, just edit the account, first change the server to any other, then change back to the desired server - update and the account is back working fine again. It would be nice to have information of how to use Pop Peeper for accounts like indiatimes, zapakmail, etc.

It works FLAWLESS with live but I had to actually send myself one email from live to gmail just to verify it works as it will not show me my gmail that sits on their server (I have to leave it open all the time?). Delete does not seem to do a damn thing as I have set it to do it pronto and even reopened it as well. Thank god I can not stand email. Gui is fuglier than sin. works eh I'd rather use gdow but it only works with gmail (live is just for s***s and giggles).

it's a quite nice email client, but this is not what i wanted. i just need a simple email notification which can display the headers of the new email, and when i click on the account it can open the broswer and log into the account. so far i'm using addons in firefox to do this.

Pop Peeper (PopP) is a superb tool for receiving and screening messages. I have used it for several years and consider it a "must have." PopP is also an essential part of my security protection. It not only enables me to quickly spot & eliminate any spam, it is a totally safe way to screen messages for possible malware. PopP has an active, responsive Support Forum, with a community of friendly & helpful users. PopP's own developer regularly participates in the forum, so technical support (although rarely needed) is readily at hand. With 5 being the highest score possible, I would wish to rate PopP as 99 -- the very best!

This program isn't what I was expecting. This thing is more of an actual mini email client than it is a pop mail checker. For example, with Gmail, it doesn't even load your browser to view gmail, instead it downloads all the messages and displays them just like an email client. If thats the case, I might as well use a real email client. They need to rename this product, because it definitely is NOT a POP mail checker/notifier=peeper.

"I discovered this and it works very well." I lioke the way it opens and displays messages as well as pictures. I wouild like to see it report only on the last 10 new messages except the whole list. Or maybe prompt it to see more than the last ten. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Outstanding!" Everything, I love this program. I cant get images to show up in my DL emails at times. This is the best program out there at doing what it does.

"Does not seem to work with Vista 64 bit" Would have been a good idea if it worked. Appeared in taskbar at the start - did not show when mail arrived and disappeared completely next time I logged on.
