It´s freeze in my computer, and have a lot of advertising. Try Miranda, or Digsby.

It has everything...others are so confusing. There is nothing I don't like but the only thing is that I'm having such a hard time getting it back. I like this messenger 8.5 and nothing else compares.

It's the best compared to all the others. I like that you can do a lot of customizing to make it personal. It has a lot of features and is not too plain. It's also very easy to use :) I have never had a problem with it in the past and I hope downloading it from here won't change that. I downloaded 9.0 (or windows live essentials 2011) and I hated it. This version is better in my opinion because you can customize a lot. I liked 8.5 from the moment I got it and I don't think that will ever change.

have full control over messenger with this version , with out the SPY microsoft BING NEW Windows Live Essentials 2011 NO thank you microsoft !!!!!!!!!!!!! just like new explorer , stick it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! this version is much better than new Windows Live Essentials 2011 ,what do windows want next back door key !!!!!!!!!!!!

j'aime tout dans ce produit, il n'y a rein na dire, j'aime surtout les deux platine. moi j'aime tout ce qu'il y a dans ce produit, il n'y a rien qui me d�plais. ben comme je les dit j'aime tout dans ce produit, il n'y a rien ke me d�plais, j'aime trop la platine et surtout le fait qu'onpeut faire des mix avec les deux music jou�.

instant communication 1: Always automatically turn off 2: Crush with many program and no response 3: If you don't use it for more than hours, it will turn out "no response" too

No viruses. I tried to install but it said I already have a newer version(I don't have any version of messenger so I wouldn't recommend anyone download this) Waste of a download.

70mbs to chat with only supported protocol windows live. And you still cant send .exe files and .mp3 (not even with an option). MirandaIM, Pidgin, etc etc... so many more instant messengers that kick it good..

Basically the same version as 14.0.8089.726 not much has changed that I can see. They have removed the webcam feature on this. You can no longer open your webcam for several people at the same time. You have to do a conference call which uses tons of bandwidth. Trying to uninstall this was a complete nightmare! Thank God I did! This was pretty much a forced update from Microsoft. I dont know their reasoning in doing this. I assume it is to get the webcam feature off their servers and force everyone to do conference. Uninstalling this was a total nightmare! I had to go back to the previous version to get my webcam to work the way it used to. Be sure to unplug your internet when installing the previous version again because if you dont it wont work. There must be something that is downloaded when you install that makes the previous version inoperable after installing. This was really a great program before they started messing with it. I dont have any plans to upgrade to Windows 7 anytime soon so I cant use thier newer version. This is yet again another attempt at Microsoft to force you to upgrade. Time are hard and we are in a recession! I cannot afford $299 for Windows 7!!!

None the whole interface is different and it' just wrong. The only plus i see is the emoticons I cannot see the need to share to facebook in messenger. I am no longer able to change my name to custom writing through messenger. It constantly crashed upon startup on Vista, and the new login screen is horrible. I don't know what Microsoft was thinking with this but it is not a good change. HORRIBLE >.<

-simpler interface, was less "confusing" to my friends.-interesting handling of media links (youtube)-easy to share photos-more stable on my schools network-Yahoo and AOL messenger support-Email arrive notification -harder to do some things than previous versions. (i like to fiddle with things)-some hiccups in the new features-have to change the default opening screen form its worthless Face Book imitation to regular messenger.-two part installer annoys me over all its a nice version however as im one of the people that's against simplification of things it dose annoy me form time to time.

Used to be good.!! New versions are BIG problems. I finally got one downloaded....... norw it says that it has a problem and must close. No one at Microsoft seems to be doing anything about the mess......... RUN>.................
