what a pain E-set Antivirus FRUADULENT software is. ESET is a legit program but this E-Set would not allow me to do anything and it kept popping up that my computer had Trojan.injection virus, China IP address was hacking into computer etc. But had another computer and found this Malwarebytes Free download. It worked GREAT and got rid of that E-Set mess. I have not subscribed to complete software but will most likely - THANKS Malwarebytes

6 Months ago I got the windows security 2010 virus that warns repeatedly about your computer being infected and being attacked by various programs. This was obviously bogus since when I unplugged my Cat5 cable, it would still tell me that I was being attacked. I went on-line with another computer and searched for the text that I was receiving. I found Mawarebytes' free Anti-Malware program. I downloaded and put it on a memory stick. I started the infected computer in safe mode. Restored to a previous time, and then installed the Ant-Malware program to eliminate the infected files. This time, a similar message occured. I downloaded the latest free version of Anti-Malware. Previously, I had also Resored Windows to a previous time. This time that did not work. The only previous time was the time I became infected. I am assuming that is an "enhancement" with the new virus. When I restarted Windows, I came up in Safe mode with networking. This seemed important because when I installed Anti-Malware it needed to update it's data base. The first time I didn't come up with Networking and it didn't eliminate the virus. Anyway, after installing anti-malware and running the smaller scan, it found a number (about 16) infected files. I had anti-malware remove them. Everything has been fine since.

Didn't expect to detect trojan, pup, hacktool, adware, and riskware that avast did not. But of course I use the free version 6.0.antivirus. Maybe the internet or pro version wil do. There are no negative critism. My pc is always protected by this malware and spyware remover. Updated on May 28, 2011

It did everything it advertised. It was very nice. Cleaned up my PC for me. I am very happy with the product. It runs slow. Even the editor's review states that. But you can minimize it and not even know it is running. It runs just fine without slowing anything else you are doing down. A great product. Very effective. But, you will need a little patience. It is slow.

Fast, easy to use Free version doesn't do "Real-Time" I use Avira Free for "real-time" protection, and run Malwarebytes" once a week. I haven't had a problem since. If I wasn't so cheap, I would install the Paid Version.

Quick detection. Didn't expect to detect trojan, riseware, adware, malware and hacktool that avast did not. Actually I'm using the pro version. Maybe some improvement in interface. Now my pc always protected by this virus remover. So thanks cnet and to the maker. Job well done.

FREE. Rated very highly at not only detecting, but also cleaning malware from your machine when run from safe mode. Did I remember to say that it was free? Free version doesn't do real time protection. Completely trusted. Been using this for years and never had a complaint.

Quiet fast and efficient, when it hasn't flagged anything you know your computer is ok. None I can think of ,been using it for about about 2 years. Recently I had fake windows xp recovery, but this programe got rid of it when the computer was rebooted in safe mood, and scanned with malwarebytes.Other wise getting rid of it manually for a novice like me on viruses and spyware etc would have been me deleting important registries.

It Cannot do anything anymore. if you buy it , it might work. not worth the money or what it used to be... better off with stopzilla or something like that.

Does a great job for a great number of Malware critters. Easy to use, updated on database often for current and new nasties, and does the job quickly. While it catches most of the lines of infection and secondary anti-malware tool is recommended. Does not remove all root kits, and occassionally a more in depth removal process will be necessary. Recommend it to customers along with a capable Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware program, Microsoft Security Essentials comes to mind. If you use the free version it will require manually running but if on a budget it will definitely do the job. Anything not removed by this program will required a level of expertise that may require a trained professional.
