uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients.

"good, Better. BEST!" I started out using it and I'll end using it. You can't go wrong with this one and I'll cry if it ever goes away I can't say anything that would even slightly be a CON. Good interface, easy to use, I was really torrent and p2p illiterate when I 1st used it and had no problems working with it and figuring out what to do.

- Easy to use - No unnecessary features. - Fast downloads None that I could find. This is the best torrent client around. With its easy use and high reliability, this is a good program for both beginning and veteran torrent users. Be sure to do the speed tests and check for any conflicting software that might mess up your general use.

Good, but when it is operating, Firefox becomes almost totally unresponsive.

The .torrent protocol is just a peer-peer file-sharing language (& as such is it just ONE way of communication) and is freely available. It is found in software, hardware, & has been made to work on every platform. It has numerous clients or gui's which accomplish various implementations, some of which are open source. EVERY player in the IT industry is using it and .torrent files account for the MAJOR portion of all traffic (or used to). I don't blame ludvig one bit for cashing out. But I'm sure if he had held out longer he could have made much more. Besides it's not the pc I'm worried about, it's who I may, or may not be, directly connected to which ultimately carries the risk. If I was you I'd be more worried about that itunes crap u have running in the background

"Increased my download speeds dramatically." My download speeds have more than doubled- and they start and build up speed quickly. A bit confusing at first, but became simple once I got used to it. A great product that will speed up your downloads.

Please note: The 2.1 development branch is classified "Alpha". The 2.0 development branch is the "Beta" and the 1.8 branch is the "stable". Separate pages should be made for 2.0 and 1.8.x. @sehnbadt: uTorrent and BitTorrent are not spying on you. Their partnerships with the corporations you mentioned involve software that has nothing to do with the uTorrent or BitTorrent clients. Please refrain from posting this unfounded FUD in the future.

"An Excellent Program" This is an excellent product. the bust i like about this product is that is has a very small size less than 300KB and is very easy to manage. None. This product has no Cons.

installed easily, fairly clear controls. Extremely difficult to get rid of; it's everywhere, took two programs and 3 reboots to irradicate it., and filled with access to pirated software and porn. Also the "support" was poor and actually the "admin" was a smarmy, rude and insulting person. DON'T install this unless you are a committed pirate or a power user who knows how to get rid of a program that won't go away easily - it installs stuff you don't even know about. Extremely slow, a few k a second at time and even 0/sec. The support is poor and the admins are rude and insulting. Steer clear of this one.

"Clean, easy to use interface. Does what it needs to" As above, I can see all the uploads and downloads at a glance without all the default crap that comes out with Azures. I'm not a heavy torrent user so easy to use interface is appreciated. Setting of download directories a little clunky, but nothing to really complain about. Definitely value for money <g>
