Plays every type of file imaginable. Skinnable and highly customizable. The search for the perfect all-in-one media player stops here. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Over the past few months I've tried every free media player known to man, and it's been exhausting and frustrating, to say the least. I often wonder if the people who design these players actually use them, because if they did, they?d probably flee in horror. When I came across The KM Player, I had very low expectations. But I couldn't have been more wrong. People, this media player does EVERYTHING. It's so dense with options that it took me an entire day to go through it and customize it to my specifications, but it's worth every second of time invested. Once you set it up to your liking, this player is a one-stop powerhouse that simplifies your media environment. I just wish I had discovered it sooner. After installing The KM Player, I immediately uninstalled Media Player Classic and Winamp, which I was using for video and audio, respectively. I had already disabled the revolting Windows Media Player long ago. The KM Player allows me to automatically start my videos in full screen, yet start my audio in compact mode. And the best part is that it allows me to use my arrow keys to fast forward and rewind video AND audio (in customizable increments), as well as control my volume. That may sound like a small thing, but to me, it's a revelation?and the simplicity is amazing. The KM Player comes out-of-the-box with all the codecs you need to play every type of media file--and after downloading Real Media and QuickTime Alternatives, I was able to play .rm, .mov, and .mp4 flawlessly--and without the need for the full, horrendous programs. To sum up, I can't imagine anyone not being highly satisfied with this player. It's fast, smart, flexible, and customizable. Not one of the multitude of other players I?ve tried has its capabilities. Not one. It makes the competition look ridiculous, and basically renders them inst

???????????? I personally dont like it. I spent a long time using KMPlayer. I grew to appreciate its many features and even its interface. But I constantly suffered from its stability problems; which sometimes meant weird error messages, other times a simple crash, still other times a crash that turned out into a system freeze when the program was terminated, and occasionally, an immediate and total system freeze when a file KMPlayer didn't like was opened.

""An alternative for VLC"" The best audio-video player so far with enhanced user graphical interface. None that I know of {so far}. You must try it. It's worth a try for sure.

"In a word? "Horrid"" THERE ARE NO PROS! Praised seemingly by users and proffesional critics? I can't get the damned thing to play a single simple DVD of any kind on a basic XP setup or with Vista on another PC. Plays very few dvds, and when it does I get just wild colors with sound and no real video. Can't just open a dvd and play it. Requires you load in a file and then pick through video _ts. very buggy program. I have used about 20 different media players and though some kind of sucked or were buggy, but this ranks as the worst I have ever used. Total garbage. Horrid player!! Stay away!!

It plays all files, and it has a very good sound and vision, I tried Playing just audio and that worked out fine as well. Actually the sound was much better than on other players. There's a lot of options for sound and vision effects. there's nothing bad about this player. I t plays everything, it's an all in one player with no hick ups at all. It's fantastic. And it has a cool interface. I played my albums on it and it sounded better than on other players, and the video's looked a whole lot better. I'm not going to get all technical here. I just like it.

"Still Older Version beats present version" Enhance a better visual look. Not all video format can be play correctly. Still Older versions are better Just tested a latest version of KMP player but still worse than older versions. That's beat me

It is a great product which looks sleek and at the same time handle nearly any file format. All the file formats I've thrown at it have worked brilliantly and the pause button is very responsive. Combined with TV and HDTV this product is very good! Only con is that it doesn't have help file which might make newbies to struggle but otherwise it is great! I think it is a great product and it is a big competitor to VLC Media Player as it looks better, pause button responds much quicker and for me KMPlayer was much more stable. I think that this product is one of the best video players in the world. It can replace Windows Media Player and RealPlayer and even maybe replace VLC but I'm not to sure!

"You`ll need no other." It`s far better than any other media player. It has all the codecs you can ever use and many that chances are you will not even run across.Playback is superb. None at all. It fits all your needs.

"Any Codec/Video Type Will Play on The KMPlayer" It plays practically every video format I've come across Plays HD videos Beautifully with no "Codec Update Package" Easy Interface You will watch alot more videos as a result of downloading this I first tried DivX, and it worked just fine except a few video formats wouldn't play. Then I found VLC Player which worked on 99% video formats and played them very well. Then came The KMPlayer and I haven't considered playing a video on either b/... read more >>

"This is, in my eyes, the best player." To many to name.Best quality of sound you can get.Runs smoothly, starts very fast. A bit hard to use in the beginning, when you are used to other players.Might have to adjust a few setting to able to play all video files. (had problems with WMV files, but founded solution) When you got used to the player it the best player you can get.You have to try it, and don't remove it after you have the first bits of problems!

MASSIVELY configurable. Well, it stole most of my video file associations when it installed, but after using it a few times, I went and changed the rest of them to KMPlayer! This video player works great -- but even more important, it has the one thing I've wanted for years: plenty of ways to tweak the controls. I can finally get a player to do what I want it to do, when I want to do it, using the buttons I want to use. Great player -- bit of a steep learning curve, but worth every second. Spend some time with the preferences (F2). I may even switch my DVD player to KMP!
