I will cut the story short: the best filemanager I have tested to date. Surprisingly intuitive, sleek interface, simple and powerful. BTW, the author created some other gemstones - I use NexusFont.

Woot! First download & review. Very nice explorer alternative. Some won't like the dark theme but it fits my tastes almost perfectly. The skin and colours can also be changed. This isn't just another Total Commander clone. There are some truly unique features here, enough that it's immediately noticeable. I'll be digging deeper into this software today. :)

A lot of work went into making it look good. The default scheme looks good (redundant) but is hardly useable. The music, docs, videos, pics, etc icons got to go -way too presumptory. As well, with many files you only see the name, but with few you are forced to see extra column attributes. What is up with that?. There is no single-click option...??? If it was a beaty contest this would win hands down. For free I'll stick with freecommander. Definitely worth checking out again

This *may* be a powerful file manager, I actually can't tell as I can't get past the ghastly black interface - it just screams at me as hideously ugly. Visually it's just too awful for me to use for any length of time, black backgrounds just aren't as easy to read!

For noobs complaining about the "black interface", please go to app menu View -> Skin -> and select "classic". Then go to app menu Tools -> Options -> Color tab -> find a button labeled "Import" and select "nocolor.col" -> click Apply button. Now put on your hat, grab a milk shake, and try to put up a real review... else grab your toys and go home. Once you get used to this application, it comes pretty close to TotalCmd. Of course has cons and pros...

Not bad, but I'm never going back to detailed views with double-clicks to open everything. And like free commander it is unable to show 'my computer'. I'll stick with tc

Crap interface. And no I'm not talking about the color; I'm talking about the crap interface.

It functions like most other explorer substitutes and ftp uploaders Wow! It is ugly! Whatever happened to its graphical designer. Perhaps 3D glasses would make it seem nicer :-) When will we get an explorer that looks great, even like a filing cabinet? This one has to be the worst colour scheme and font layout I have ever seen. Function is fundamental, I agree, but visuals matter.

MUCH faster than Win Explorer. Nice looking GUI. Built-in FTP upload facility AND download facility. Extremely efficient Disk cleanup (built-in). Very fast to load.... I could go on and on! Nothing really This is an awesome alternative to Windows Explorer... you use it to access any files in your C Drive (my docs, my computer, program files, etc) - and it blows Win Explorer out of the water! It is super fast and super easy to use. I now mainly only use NexusFile when browsing through my files... it's much easier and faster than Windows.... AMAZING program, I highly recommend

I am using Vista, and find this program much easier and quicker to navigate and browse around my files and folders. Also has an array of helpful features, such as: disk cleanup, one click file rename, FTP, plus much more The design is slightly lacking, but it's the way the program works that matters, not what it looks like I highly recommend this to anyone considering an alternative to WinExplorer

Dual window configuration. Dumb color scheme. Not that much better than Windows Explorer. Difficulty sorting columns. I don't know why windows doesnt allow multiple windows. This program allows two. Not a lot of features other than a few nice shortcuts. I'm not sure who came up with the color schemes but boo. It would also be nice to sort colomns without accessing the tools menu but hey it's free.

Faster than windows explorer at moving files, even on my slow-poke. None so far. I like the ability to move massive files between hard drives, it did it quickly and without errors, unlike Windows. Also liked the ability to change colors in Options for files and folders, allows you to see at a glance what you're dealing with.

Look and feel, original solutions. No function to search files, limited ability to collaborate with external apps.

Versatile file manipulation, view can be either a single or dual window, folder content comparison, has the ability to add files to an archive, and a great file renaming function Some people may be crazy about the default colors This utility has saved me alot of time by being able to batch tasks like renaming a lot of files with a single click and can handle a more than one condition for renaming. Being able to join a lot of smaller files into one for easier analsys and in the format you want. I had a bit of a learning curve as to what function was where, but the more I worked with it the easier it became and the organization made more sense. While I don't always use it, having the ability to have a window on the left with a view of a folder and another window on the right with a different folder displayed is very handy and time saving. Some of the options you can configure are things like assigning function keys to perform certain tasks, you can change the colors from the default colors, default folder locations (documents, music, etc.), your view of folders and files, external archive programs, and more. I've found NexusFile fills in a lot of the gaps Windows doesn't provide and for those it does, makes the use of them a lot easier to do. I personally have no problems recommending NexusFile to anyone and have recommended it to my friends who had the same needs I do.
