Mozilla Firefox Portable Edition is a fully functional package of Firefox optimized for use on a USB key drive. It has some specially-selected optimizations to make it perform faster and extend the life of your USB key as well as a specialized launcher that will allow most of your favorite extensions to work as you switch computers. It will also work from a CDRW drive (in packet mode), ZIP drives, external hard drives, some MP3 players, flash RAM cards and more.

"Use it instead of the standard Firefox." It does not fill your computer up with files and is east to get rid of. It's still Firefox Instead of using the full install of Firefox 3.5+ just use this instead. Run it in Safemode and be done with the mess that is Firefox.

For me, not as stable as the last beta. Crashed several times within a few hours of use.

"nice idea but" It is a great versino of firefox with all the bells and whistles It does not work on computers that do not have firefox installed. So honestly what is the point?

Broke the google sharing xpi. I'll stick with 357 til the xpi is updated. I only run it very rarely anyways. Opera is my browser of choice.

"Works exactly how it's supposed to" Complete profile integrity - even when using multiple FF portables on the same computer. Zero crashes. Fast. Nothing negative encountered so far. The portable version is every bit as good as the full version. Great program which makes multi-profile use of Firefox very easy indeed. This is an excellent solution to shared computers - now easier than ever for each person to keep bookmarks, passwords and other personal settings separate.

Easy to install, takes up no space on your device, but most of all, allows you to have one profile for all your devices. There aren't any. Perfect for me. I use a netbook but sometimes a desktop as well, and this is just the thing to conserve space on my netbook while still having all my bookmarks, passwords (I know I shouldn't store them in my profile...), and (yes!) addons carry over from one computer to the other.

I've always liked Firefox for it's ease of use. The speed has not changed that I can see. It could have but I just do not see any difference. I really like the fact that it is updated often. Have not found a single problem but then I use very little of the product. I like it.

Astonishingly fast Security settings needs improvement The first hour or so it worked pretty fine and the speed was even excellent. So, I definitely thought this is it! All of a sudden it started to freeze now and then and finally I got the windows error code 1005 back. In the end I had no other choice then to format the USB Stick. Can't say what happened and went wrong but make sure to use a "clean" USB Stick in order to prevent any sensitive data loss or whatever.

I can take it with me to work and just launch my links/sites i use in 5min. Slower then the desktop regular version wich is understandable Get it if you use same links at work and home (need a VPN and a Proxy) or just keep ur Firefox Syncronized anywhere u go (Cooffee Shop, Cyber Caf, etc...)

Fast, safe, reliable, stable, slim, efficient. What else do you need? Handles games (I play on FB) extremely well and still keeps the power drain low. Compatible with almost every website and application on the web. Don't like that the Bookmarks toolbar is gone except for when you start Chrome or open a new tab, but I'm not sure I didn't do something wrong in the settings. Copy of Pros: Fast, safe, reliable, stable, slim, efficient. What else do you need? Handles games (I play on FB) extremely well and still keeps the power drain low. Compatible with almost every website and application on the web.

Load faster than ever, easy to use arrange icons, Love to see that they have finally added the speed dial feature. I use Portable version and love it's portability. You need to wait for a few of your favorite extensions/add-ons/plugins to be updated for this version of Firefox, otherwise it won't work. I Liked the Firefox 4 for it robust, well organized design. Hats off to the team. I wish them all the best.
