FileZilla Portable is the popular FileZilla FTP client packaged as a portable app, so you can take your server list and settings with you. You can place it on your USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive or on a CD and use it on any computer, without leaving any personal information behind.

As with all the PortableApps products, this is wonderful. Works perfectly for me.

Filezilla is an excellent application. The Portable-ized version is also excellent. Thank you to the Filezilla devs and the PortalApps guys for this.

The 2.x series of Filezilla remains WAY better than this new branch.

Nice that someone made a portable version but it's superfluous as FileZilla is already portable. Just unpack the binaries into a folder and create a blank file named "fzdefaults.xml" using a text editor. :P

No directory cache, can't send files while disconnected (it won't auto-connect), no importing sites from other FTP programs (at least not the ones I use). Funny thing is v2 had some of this, v3 doesn't.

So far, I'm liking this app. It seems to be fairly efficient, quick and usable. Nothing obvious stands out as a defect or issue. I hope they keep up the good work.

"Where do I find teh free version?" If I could locate the free version update, hopefully it would be as easy to use as the prior version. Either CNET's statement "free" is mistaken, or the "free" part is buried so deeply in and among the purchase items that I cannot find the free download.

"Works great for what I need it for." Easy setup and simple to move date to and from my website. Not a thing... Easy to use and one of the better free software products that I use.

"A must have" auto-sync feature keeps track of updates i made with other software. asking me if i want to update to the server. sync browsing changes directories on both local and remote machine. i still find bugs or difficulties occasionally. however, the frequent updates are taking care of any small problems one at a time. both portable and otherwise Filezilla is on every machine i use for ftp and on my stick.

"Great! Just what I needed..." I can use it at work! (we are not allowed to install any software, and are expected to do all our work just using the Microsoft 'Office' family of software. The logic? It was very expensive so it MUST be good!) Ummm, thinks hard.... ummmm.... sorry, you got me there

FileZilla Portable works great, is free. Both the portable and the installed version are worth keeping. Nothing much, it is always improving.

It's easy to install. Another empty hole with no direction signs. You'd think by now that somebody would have figured out how to communicate simple things to normal minds, but this software proves that's still an illusion. What's so hard about having labels like "move/copy from" and "move/copy to?" Oh, nooooooooooooooooooo! That would never do! Let 'em figure it out--it's free, f*** 'em! I have not been impressed with any of the products from this company. They are drastically over-rated and over-hyped. This is a pure dog.
