"Easy to use tabbed interface supports multiple files" Lots of features such as block change to upper/lower case, and indent. Can edit multiple files using a tabbed interface, or in separate windows (by starting another copy of editor). Great general purpose text editor, but does not support programming languages.

"Simple, foolproof text editing. Using it for years." No limit to files size. Choices of print fonts and sizes (separate from screen size). Never a glitch. Fast as the Windows Notepad. None that I've experienced This is a no-brainer replacement for Notepad with much more flexibility!

More functionality Multiple tabs Minimize to system tray None as yet. This notepad is better than the Windows default notepad. It has more functionality and you can open multiple files because it uses tabs. It is still simple to use and display the data very clearly and neat. It gives helpful tips on startup and can minimize to the system tray and off the task bar. It is really great!

"Does not use the Register and printing is very good." It has place for the name of the archive when printing as the number of the page from a total number of pages. I did not find anything wrong with the software. It is very easy to find where the cursor is and the line being edited. Stay on top is fantastic and can be chosen to allow better edition of any file. I strongly recommend instead Notepad.

Fast loading, powerful, easy to use, pop-up tips at start-up, remembers recent files, works with multiple files simultaneously. The free Lite version contains all of the capabilities most people need. Continuously improved releases. What's not to like? It's free, easy, powerful, and upgradable to Pro for a very reasonable price. As a retired software engineer who has used many professional (i.e. expensive) software editing and development tools in the past, I have now used the EditPad Lite for many years and found that it meets all of my current needs. Programmers and power users might want the added features in the Pro version ($49.95 with 3 month risk-free unconditional money-back guarantee) such as macros, programming languages syntax coloring, hex editing, built-in FTP, etc.. I would not hesitate to upgrade to the Pro version if the need arises.

Lean program but why bother if WordPad is there always. NO spell checker-- to me tht makes any "editor" unusable. For $50 they will add it on. Why waste disk space? WordPad does 90% of non-programming processing.

It does what I want it to do with little or no confusion. Is easier to use than Word or any of the others I've tried. Haven't found anything to complain about yet. See numbers 3 & 4.

As fast as MS Notepad but much more capable. Change font, open multiple files. No files size limitation None........... Definitely worth the money.....

Fast, feature-packed, no-nonsense program, regular updates (I am actually a user of the Pro version by now), never had any problems with it. User interface is not especially attractive and looks a bit like from the 1990's, but I think they simply go for speed and efficiency here, which is fine with me.

It does what it says it will do. Tabbed text editing and macros and whatnot. The Pro version supposedly uses color text marking for code and such. Doesn't do anything that Notepad++ doesn't already do for free. Plus N++ also has features that you only get with the paid version of EditPad. I downloaded EditPad Lite because it was recommended in an article I was reading. I already use Notepad++ but I'm always in the market for new tools, particularly if they work as advertised. However, I wasn't thrilled with EditPad. It is what it is advertised as, but other than that it's nothing new as far as text editing. Plus it's missing several features that I already have in Notepad++, most notably color coding for text that's recognized as code. I'm aware that that feature is available in the "paid" version of EditPad but I'm already getting that in Notepad++ for free. Bottom line is, I'll stick with Notepad++.

Editpad -- multiple files and task-button active button. Excellent text editing -- configurable for various / any file-types. None -- for what this is designed for, no cons. Thanks, ''Just Great Software'' -- for such easy to use text editing for FREE.
